Health Coaching

Despite great medical advances, our current healthcare delivery model has a long way to go. Chronic illnesses are still on the rise. Many interventions temporize the problem but have little to offer in addressing underlying root causes.

Health coaching introduces a new paradigm. In the process of health coaching, not only is time spent working with individual patients to become healthier whatever their starting point, the process also takes an active role in preventative care through the identification of potential problem areas before they arise.

The benefits are numerous. From lowered medical costs to improved productivity and happier, healthier employees, corporate wellness programs have been shown to lower disease prevalence rates while motivating employees to their fullest potential. Simplistic programs based just on a collection of tools and resources accomplish little. For wellness programs to work, they have to be customized to the needs of the company and their employees.

If you have the opportunity to influence the health plan of your employees or co-workers, consider recommending a trained and certified Health Coach. Whether a corporation struggling with recurrent lost work days or an individual on their individual health journey, this novel approach may provide the foundation for a lifelong journey towards wellness.
