Judge Forces Parents to Allow Chemotherapy for Their 3-Year-Old Comments

Comments
The parents were right in this matter. Chemotherapy is to harsh for a child that young or for anyone at all. I have seen horrible things with chemotherapy. My mother was diagnosed with cancer and was toutured by the medical staff of 2 hospitals before she died They gave her 1 1/2 the dubble dose, I would say that they killed her. I have no trust in the chemotherapy treatment.

Since a large percentage of people are killed by chemo, rather than the cancer, I'd say that the judge is either ignorant, or in the pay of big Pharma, and that the parents were right to seek other treatment. Chemo is ineffective, and extremely deadly, very few survive for more than 10 years after going through it.

If the chemo is a proven cure the judge was right. What the parents wanted to use does not cure any form of cancer.

I totally disagree with the judge. I don't believe anyone has the right to force something upon a child unless the parents are not capable or have the capacity to make a decision on the best interest of the child. Despite the success rate of this type of cancer we all know how horrific chemo is especially for a child. I am not a big believer in western medicine for obvious reasons. It the parents make a decision to try alternative treatments so be it. I think everything has gotten terribly out of hand. This is not a case for the courts as far as I am concerned. Whether it is a 3 year old child or an adult that adult, caregiver or immediate family member has the right to make a decision one way or another.

It s all just wrong, what if the boy dies during this Cancer treatment, then what? Is that judge going to get a murder rap? why can't these parents make the decision on what to do? who right and who's wrong? the whole thing is a terrible thing. If the boy was older, would they let him make the decision?

What you don’t know is hurting you and others. The parents had their rights violated. They weren’t allowed do it the way they think is best for their child. A judge violated my rights and my mother ended up dead. There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

I have great respect for St. Jude's Hospital, as I do for parents'
rights. They should go to St. Jude's hospital, who charge nothing for treatment, housing, or travel, and have the highly successful treatment.

I had Stage 4 cancer and refused Chemo because it kills your immune system and I am completely clear by taking care of myself. The parents should NOT be required to give their child the nasty chemo!!

The judge is absolutely right. There are too many stupid parents out there who would rather follow a fad than science when it comes to their children's health. We've all read of Vegan parents who have endangered their children's lives with that silly, unnatural diet.
