AFTER HOLIDAY DETOX MEAL PLAN

We all tend to over-indulge during the holidays. It’s alwaysfun to eat, drink and be merry, but that after calendar flips, we can be leftwith the heavy weight of extra pounds and the guilt that comes with it. Hereare some tips to ease your way into that sugar detox you are craving:

1. Start your morning with 8 ounces of water beforeyou do anything else. It will get you hydrated and your system ready for whatcomes next. Make sure to have 3 more glasses of the essential stuff during theday.

2. Eat a bowl of oatmeal. The fiber rich and watercontent will help guide your system into cleansing. You can add cinnamon orapples to add the flavors you may be still craving from all the holiday treats.

3. Later, go Greek and go nuts. Add some walnut, pistachio or almonds to some Greek yogurt and get a protein infused burst ofenergy.

4. Add artichokes and the darkest green vegetableof your choice to any lean meat for dinner to help flush out the liver. Garlichelps too.

5. A pear for desert. You can bake it or eat itraw, but it will leave you with a sweet taste in your mouth without all thehigh cholesterol and fat that came with your holiday cookies and pies.

Finally, get out for a walk and get the internal furnacesburning again. You will be back on track and just maybe into your skinny jeansfaster than you thought.
