It's a great place to go to. I notice good team work with the nurses and all departments. I have no complaints. They have been good to me. If something I needed wasn't available they found a way to make it available. I highly recommend anyone to come here for hospital care and rehab care. I was at my lowest when I arrived and they nursed me back to health. I have come a long way. I'm so thankful. Thank God and thank everybody at Kindred Clear Lake.
I have been to countless hospitals and I have never ever experienced the level of care, kindness and compassion that I have here. From doctors, nurses, all the way to housekeepers, they have been wonderful. I would recommend this place to anyone! They are just so friendly and eager to care for their patients. You can tell they really care about you, as a person. Of all the other hospitals I've gone to this place stands out, because you can tell the staff truly care about the patients. The doctors do too. Dr. Eisenberg has great bedside manner, he is very attentive and personable. He explained everything along the way and even referred me to another doctor outside the hospital that I can keep seeing who has a similar bedside manner. That meant a lot to me. Dr. Eisenberg and the house doctor even went out of their way to check on my wife to assure her heath was taken care of when she was visiting me. Dr. Eisenberg is the best doctor I've ever had in my entire life and one of the neatest people I've ever met. If anyone is in need for long term acute care, Kindred Clear Lake is the place to go.
I have hope again, that I can get some independence back. Now I know I can have some type of normal life again. When I first came to Kindred I could not walk and wasn't eating, because I couldn't keep anything down. After working with the rehab team I'm hungry all the time! Being more active has kept my appatite up and built my strength up and I can finally walk again. I never thought I would. It makes me happy to have hope again. I look forward to continuing my recovery. The case manager is trying to find a good facility that works with my insurance company for me to continue my rehab recovery. Initially when I came here I was scared, because I didnt know what to expect. I was missing home and worried about being in the hospital during the holidays. Now I'm okay. I'm even okay with staying a few extra days if it comes down to it.
I could not recommend a better hospital. They have good nursing and doctors care. When you call for a nurse you will get immediate care. I don't spend a long time waiting around for help. The doctors I have here pay attention to my every need. Dr. Armstrong gave me his phone number! Any time I have a question for the doctor, I know he will be there for me. They have excellent food service. The breakfast is excellent and fresh. They serve real eggs, real bacon, grits, sausage, there are many options that I like. Lunches and suppers are also excellent. Luby's has been serving Kindred since I've been here and they have always done an excellent job. The rehab and wound care services have also been excellent. Their attitude, the way the treat you, and care for you makes a difference. Their ability to meet your needs have been first class. If you have a family member or friend that needs long term care, Kindred Clear Lake is an excellent choice. I am completely satisfied.
Your experience at Kindred Clear Lake will be good. The nursing staff is awesome, the front office people are awesome, and the therapists are awesome. When I called the front office with questions they sent the patient advocate straight to me within 5 minutes. The food is wonderful. I'm sorry to say other hospitals were horrible, but at Kindred I have enjoyed the food. It was like a home cooked meal. It actually had flavor! The nurses were johnny on the spot to take care of me quickly. I spiked a fever one night and the nurses didn't hesitate to call my doctor and get treatment immediately. I dont wait around for pain medicine or ice or drinks or anything, because they have a great nurses and great techs. The case manager Nola has worked diligently to arrange everything for my discharge. That makes me feel important and that she has my back. I don't have to worry about doing all this by myself. Therapy is doing a good job with me. They let me take my time and show them what I can do. We work together to meet my goals. They don't push me to do what they want, its what we agreed on. I have made good progress. Kindred has good doctors too. They have been friendly with good bed side manners. They come by to check on me everyday and take care of my needs. One night it was raining and cold, and the doctor went out of his way to come see me in person and review my reports. He didn't leave it up to the nurse to take care of, he made sure to see me personally. The wound care team makes sure my wound stays clean and is healing. Dr. Guidry, the wound care doctor, is really good. She sees me daily and oversees my treatment. No matter what you are going through, they have good people at Kindred Clear Lake. If I had to come back to the hospital, I would choose to come back to Kindred Clear Lake.
Kindred Clear Lake is good. They have nurses that do a very good job, they complete their job with a smile. They deliver my antibiotics and treat me very well. The CNA's are very very wonderful and stay positive. They answer all my questions and seem very smart. The hospital is clean which makes me feel more comfortable being here.
My experience as a family member of a patient went well. From admission to discharge I liked everything about it. What stands out to me was how well trained and friendly the staff was. Amanda in patient relations, Jamie the Case manager, Marcus the unit secretary, Kisses the tech, Bertha and Elizabeth from housekeeping, Tracy at the front desk, and every doctor on his team were exceptional and friendly. You can tell they really and literally care. You can tell they are not here for "a job" they are here because they really care. You can feel the love. They gave me a cot so I could stay the night, but once I got to know them I knew I could trust them enough that I didn't have to stay. I knew he would be taken care of. Keep up the good work at Kindred Clear Lake. I'll recommend to any one I know.
I recommend Kindred Clear Lake wound care to everyone. Especially wound care nurse Mia. There is something special about her care and her gentle patient interaction. Wound care can be very painful. The gentle touch and professionalism is a science that can't be taught, you either have it or you don't. Mia goes beyond the call of duty to take care of her patients. She goes extra to make sure the pain is minimal and she listens to my needs and wants. I tell everyone who needs wound care to go to Kindred Clear Lake and ask for Mia! But wait until I'm discharged, because you cant take her from me!
Kindred Clear Lake is an exceptional facility and I hightly recommend them. They give a high amount of personalized attention, treatment and care. When I first arrived I felt very welcome and I felt like they truly wanted me there. People from every department came to see me. It was unlike any experience I've ever had at any hospital. The service was exceptional. They were so friendly and helpful, caring and explain everything. The nutritionist, Leslie, went over and above to teach me about new products on the market and gave me several resources so I could continue following my diet after my hospital stay. I feel like this is a lifestyle change and now I feel prepared to continue on with higher energy expectations in my life. I cant give them enough stars. I have never had care like this with so much attention to my overall well being, treatment and recovery. If you want the best care possible, Kindred Clear Lake is where you should go.
I broke my back 3 years ago, and unfortunately I developed bed sores and other wounds when I was down. I had been dealing with wound infections on my legs since then. Dr. Clause, Dr. Chang, and Dr. Ben told me about Kindred and their wound care. I'm completely satisfied in Kindred Clearkake and their services. They are professional and offer up to date techniques. They have an excellent wound care service. I have found Joe and Lizzete, the wound care nurses, to be very knowledgeable and professional. They always took their time and made sure my wounds were very clean. They would measure them every day and take pictures to track the progression of my healing. The nurses would review the doctors orders and showed prepared and knew what to do. They didn't have to waste time calling doctors to track down the info. They came in with orders and followed the doctors orders exactly. I also like the bedside nursing staff. Nurse Vella would check on me every hour, sometimes she would just pop her head in the door to see how I was doing. It made me feel like somebody was always going to be here for me and take care of me no matter what. That was very reassuring and it really counts. Jo and Stephanie from physical therapy also deserve a pat on the back. They were also caring and professional. They took time and explained what I was going to do. They let me work at my own pace, on my own time. That contributed to my progress. When I first got here, I couldn't walk. They helped me come a long way in a short time. Now, I can walk with assistance. Everything was excellent. I've never been in a hospital like this before. It's got most of the other hospitals beat. I would not be where I am today without coming here.
