I was transferred to Regency Heritage Nursing Center from JFK Johnson Rehab Institute after a double knee replacement. From the very beginning, the caring staff made me feel welcome and special. I must make special mention of Mrs. Diana Tally, my physical therapist, for her utmost devotion to me during this recovery process.

Our Mom was recently at Regency Heritage for sub-acute rehabilitation and we were thrilled with their care. She has regained strength in her arms and legs and is on the road to recovery!

Just an update to the Review I added on July 6, 2015 regarding my Aunt Jessie Sherrill - I neglected to click the "Stars" to be applied to my rating and I see that it reflects 3 stars as opposed to 5. She definitely received FIVE STAR CARE!!!! I'm adding this addtion to my original review to make correct the rating - it should be 5 STARS!!!!

I was recently a patient at Regency Heritage for short term rehab, and my experience was stellar. I’d like to specifically thank my Nurse, Lisa, and their Social Worker, Phylicia. This outfit is a class act!

Our Mom, Pauline Shwartz, was at Regency Heritage for long term care, before she passed on last year. Regency was her home and her haven. We couldn’t have asked for better or more compassionate care.

My Mom was admitted to Regency Heritage, under Medicaid. Then in January, she inherited what we consider a large amount of money. All parties were notified and we made the transition to private pay very easily.

What I really wanted to say is that the care is the same, and that is truly a compliment to you and your staff. To know that when my Mom had no money, her good care was the same as it is now.

I do hope you get the jist of what I’m saying and thank you from the bottom of my heart!

My Aunt Jessie Sherrill, who is 86 and lives in Black Mountain, NC, was in New Jersey to surprise her brother, my dad, for his 80th B-day Party. A couple of days after the celebration she fell and broke her hip. Needless to say she was very upset, not only because she had broken her hip, but to have it happen so far from home.

After having successful hip surgery at JFK Hospital, physical therapy was prescribed. This is when she became a resident of Regency Heritage from June 5 through June 25, 2015. During her 3-week stay, not only did she receive top notch physical therapy from phenomenal physical therapists, but she expressed on numerous occasions that she felt the Therapists truly cared about her progress and had a vested interest in helping her to return to normal activity as soon as possible. You see, though my Aunt is 86, she is a very active 86; when home, she attends Yoga and Aerobic classes and participates in many Church and Community activities. For her, having attentive Therapist was very important and very much appreciated.

Lastly, my Aunt would be upset with me if I did not mention the care she received from the nursing staff and aides. Charge Nurses Khadiyah, Paul and Edith; Floor Nurses Ruwani and Kimberly, Aides Yvette, Edelaine, Theodorine and Zena ensured that she received the utmost personal care. During my visits, my Aunt always mentioned that she was being treated like a “Queen”. She was extremely impressed by the attentiveness of the Nurses and Aides and commented on several occasions about the personalized care she was receiving and that it helped to ease the sadness of being so far away from home.

In closing, my family and I would like to thank the entire Staff of Regency Heritage – knowing our Aunt was receiving such wonderful care truly gave us peace of mind, and we whole heartedly THANK YOU!!!

Sincerely,
Dorian Walden for The Family of Jessie Sherrill

My husband was sent to Regency after triple bypass surgery. The staff was extremely helpful in assisting him. The nurses and aids were cheerful and responsive to his needs. Everyone, from the meal servers, cleaning staff to the board members were very friendly. I can't say enough about the physical therapists, Ashley, Nicole and Elizabeth in making sure he received the help he needed in order to come home.
The building and grounds are very beautiful and tranquil. Family and visitors were always made to feel welcome.
I do feel that cardiac patients should be offered a no salt diet instead of low salt.
