From my 1st interaction on a virtual visit I was very pleased Dr Barter explained the procedure he was going to perform step by step. The next appointment he wanted me to come in person , the lady on the phone was very pleasant l. I interacted with Trudy in the office who took my vitals very professional, pleasant and knowledgeable. The surgery coordinator Robyn was phenomenal she called with instructions before the procedure , the day before and days after she called to check to see how I was doing after the procedure. Dr Barter and his staff made me feel as if I were the only patient he had and I really appreciated that . I would recommend Dr Barter and his practice to any female that has gynecology issues ……

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Barter of Women’s Health Specialists. I had a virtual consultation with him prior to my procedure, he was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. I did not feel rushed, he spent quite a while answering my extensive list of questions. The procedure went so smoothly thanks to Dr. Barter and the rest of the wonderful hospital staff. Highly recommend!

Hello - Today, I am one month post-op and couldn't be happier at how the professionals at Women's Health Specialists assisted me. Dr. Barter...Oh, Dr. Barter is simply the B.E.S.T!!!! He ranks top as one of my favorite doctors.
Moments before my procedure, I had last minute questions, Dr. Barter did not hesitate to take a seat and patiently listened and addressed all my concerns. Afterwards, he called my sister for an update, and she fell in love with him immediately. She couldn't stop talking about his AWESOME personality! Needless to say, I concur 100%. His sense of humor is nothing less than miraculous!! I am thankful for such an uplifting doctor during a very trying time. I thank GOD for Dr. Barter.
I cannot forget Gayle. Thank you Gayle for always returning my "numerous" phone calls so quickly, but most importantly with such a great attitude. You are appreciated.
The staff, Gayle, Robyn and Kenzie are all outstanding.
You all will never know how much your positive attitudes and excellent phone presents helped me. THANK YOU ALL!

I had a Hysterectomy this week by Dr Barter at Holy Cross Hospital.

Everyone was great. The hospital was great, and the service was great. They made my stay comfortable, answered all my questions, and were there when I needed them..

Would recommend Dr Barter and his team, and Holy Cross.

I had my daughter drive me to the Rockville office from Brandywine for two reasons. First, I was too terrified to drive and most important because my doctor said Dr. Barter was "the BEST". All patients they had previously referred to him were very pleased. HIs staff are pleasant and professional. Then I met Dr. Barter right on time. His kind and gentle manner put me at ease right away. He explained what the procedure would be . He told me not to worry about chemotherapy right now, that I was getting ahead of myself. ( didn't need it after all ) he talked about his interests , which I found comforting. He talked with me in a friendly comforting manner as we went into surgery. He is beyond fantastic.

My experience with the Wellness Center was excellent. When you are facing the unknown for you, you don’t know what to expect. Dr. Barter and his team answered all of my concerns, pre-op and post-op, in a timely and professional manner. They made the entire experience ( including the hospital) comforting.

Dr. Steren and Nadine Thompson provided wonderful care before, during and after my recent surgery. They were patient, thorough and very caring throughout the whole process. They made me feel very comfortable and made the surgery less stressful. I had a quick and smooth recovery after major surgery. Their office staff was also wonderful, responsive and very professional.

Women’s Health Specialists and Dr. Barter made what is understandably a very unnerving experience, accessible and less frightening for my mom. From the initial consult to setting up surgery and through to actual procedure and post-op follow-up, Dr. Barter and the staff were gentle and patient guides, helping us figure out next steps. We’re lucky to have found them.

I am extremely grateful to Dr. Barter and his staff. Dr. Barter is down to earth and extremely knowledgeable. He made a very difficult and scary time for me possible with his reassurance. I highly recommend his group.
