I was in need of an emergency colostomy. I was very ill nd frightened. I had heard very positive recommendations regarding Dr. Rivadeneira and felt confident I was choosing the right surgeon. What I had not anticipated was the compassion and kindness he showed not only me but my family. I have since had a successful reversal and I am forever grateful for his skills as a surgeon and his kindness as a person.

My heartfelt compassion for Dr. Rivadeniera is overwhelming. His patience, kindness, confidence & overall calming effect have done wonders for me regarding my surgery. His skill, knowledge & positive outlook played such a huge part in my recovery. I feel so blessed to have found myself in his very capable hands. His staff is also so appreciated for their kindness, patience and caring words. I can't thank him enough for all he has done for me. I recommend him highly without reservation!!!

Dr. David Rivadeneira, MD is a great doctor. He took over my case regarding and anal fistula and was confident about how to treat it and we scheduled surgery right away. He was confident about his treating the problem and afterwards expressed to me that he was successful.

After a followup visit he confirmed that all was a success and the healing was going great ! I was very relieved from the worry I carried due to his friendly and confident approach. I also came to find out he is one of the best doctors in this field.

I was fortunate to have "text book" surgery & recovery under the care of Dr. Rivadeneira and his staff. The initial consultation was thorough and comprehensive and it went as planned. A talented surgeon and a wonderful man.

Dr. Rivadeneira is a wonderful Doctor. After 2 years of being ill, many doctors and much blood loss, I was recommended to him. Everyone who I asked expressed to me that I would feel very comfortable and that he was excellent. Well.. he was. He was kind and compassionate, diagnosed and treated my condition with Little discomfort for a intestinal section. Everyone around him was helpful & kind even the Hospital staff love as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Rivadeneira to all.

Wonderful Doctor. Very thorough. and explains everything. Highly recommend him. Office staff was great as well, no wait time, easy making appointment. Wish all Doctors could be as well educated as this and still treat patients with the utmost respect.

Dr. Rivadeneira has exceptional surgical and interpersonal skills. He removed my diseased sigmoid colon due to years of diverticulitis attacks. Don't hesitate to see him; your quality of life will be greatly improved.

I would recommend Dr. David Rivadeneira and his team to anyone needing surgery. I had a hernia repair with bowel resection in 2001 with another surgeon, after having several surgeries for endometriosis. In 2010, I needed a hysterectomy for cancer, and the oncologist cut through the mesh from the hernia repair. I had an open wound for eleven weeks, and when it healed I had a large incisional hernia.
Two attempts to repair the defect by different surgeons were unsuccessful. The wound kept breaking open, and on the last attempt, I actually fell in the hospital. The hernia I was left with was about the size of a soccer ball, and I felt like I was pregnant for several years.
I was referred to Dr. Rivadeneira after I had a vertical sleeve gastrectomy and gall bladder removed. He was very confident that he could help me, and on Nov. 29, 2015 he and his team of surgeons totally reconstructed my abdomen.
In a six hour surgery, Dr. Rivadeneira and Dr. Cesar Sanz, with the help of Dr. Michael Dobryansky, a talented plastic surgeon, removed adhesions, reconstructed my muscles, fixed my skin and put all my internal organs back in working order.
During my hospital stay I got to know Dr. Sanz and Dr. Jacob Eisdorfer, the other doctors in the practice. Each one knew every aspect of my case, and I began to feel like I was the only patient they were caring for. Together with Dr. Rivadeneira, they took great care of me, and saw to it that I had the appropriate aftercare. I was sent home comfortable and in very good shape.
From Dr. Rivadeneira himself, to his surgeons who all were extremely skilled and knowledgeable, right down to his excellent medical assistants and office staff, I couldn’t have asked for better care. If you have been told you have a difficult case and have had disappointment in the past, schedule a consultation with Dr. Rivadeneira and discuss it with him. He was able to perform my very difficult hernia repair and reconstruction, and I am very happy with the results.

Dr. Rivadeneira made me feel very comfortable and at ease. He explained everything about the procedure. He made me feel like I mattered, which is very important. He was thorough in his exam and in his explanation of what to expect afterward. I would highly recommend him.

I had surgery with Dr. Rivadeneira in May and September of 2015 for diverticulitis. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable and caring with his patients. He took the time to explain the test results, and made me much more comfortable about the two surgical procedures.
I would highly recommend him to everyone.
