This is the worst example of a "doctor". You barely are able to see her. When she does come in you get a brief and very impersonal evaluation. In the middle of my brief time her husband walked into the room. With no apology he took her out of the room for a phone call. Her husband, who I believe is the office manager, has no respect for women. The way he speaks to you is with contempt and disrespect. If you are considering an endocrinologist please do yourself a favor and do not go to this "doctor". I wish they had no stars. One seems too generous.

Making the appointment was easy and fast. When I arrived at the office, wondered why a Dr. that proclaims to be voted by her piers as one of Houston's top doctors ( pics, ads all over entire office) was practicing in such a run down building. The windows at the office entrance have so many advertisements for cosmetic procedures, I thought I was in the wrong place. I waited for over an hour to be taken back, then I waited another hour to be seen by her PA. The back offices are Disorganized and dirty. The PA recommended an ultrasound. While waiting in yet another room for 2 hours (no exaggeration) A man comes in wearing street clothes with a turban on his head and seemed to sweating slightly. He did not speak to me other than to half heartedly say " sorry you waited" that's it until at the end of my test he and asked if I have ever seem an Endo. before? I felt uneasy and asked if saw something? He stated YES, I see some issues but the Dr. can discuss with you at your next appt. SERIOUSLY??? ( I understand he is her husband and ultrasound tech ). No where did I see any credentials for him to perform the ultrasound. Only Dr. Zaniewski. and she was on vacation. 2nd visit saw the Dr. after waiting 2 hrs. She seemed pleasant at first but, when I asked her to explain why she wants to do a biopsy of nodules found from my ultrasound, she acted irritated and told me "only 10% of thyroid cancer patients actually die so don't lose any sleep over it". Then, told me I have Hasimoto's disease, PCOS, and diabetes and started handing me my file with some scripts and telling me to come back in 2 weeks to have the biopsy. When I asked another question, the Dr. actually said " Fine but you're running over your time by 15 minutes now, making others have to wait". Needless to say, I'm looking for another Endo.

Their staff is very friendly and professional. They've never dismissed any of my concerns as unimportant, and take every concern of mine very seriously. The staff was very helpful no matter how many times I called with a question or concern. They never made me feel uncomfortable for asking any question. They always take the time to listen to me. I know they really care about me and what I have to say. I appreciated the fact that the staff was so friendly and nice. I felt very welcome.

While they made an effort to follow up with me after my visit, they never made me feel important when I went to the office. I know they see a lot of patients, but how hard is it to smile, treat people with kindness or show that you care? They have no respect for your time. The average wait time was 45 minutes, even if you are the first appt of the day. It was very clear that they didn't take pride in their office's appearance. In fact, the office was run down and dingy. With the exception of Dr. Z, I don't think they were very experienced or well-trained in patient relations. They had poor bedside manner. They communicated with me as little as possible, never once did any staff member smile at me or ask me how I was! I always left feeling very confused and frustrated. No one seemed to care about me at all.
