Dr. Salvato herself is a wonderful Fibromyalgia doctor; however, her staff does not have the compassion that she does with her patients. After over 8 years of being treated by Dr. Salvato, I have finally had enough of her incompetent staff members, especially her office manager. They refused to see me over $90, in which they were to apply to my HRA account back in 2009. These so called "past due bills" were overlooked even with 6 visits after this supposed $90 was open on my account. I told the office manger I was fed up with their incompetence, especially hers, and asked them to put my records together as I will search for another doctor with a more compassionate staff. The day that they refused to see me, I was severely sick and ended up having to go to an urgent care facility to be treated. The office manager and staff I had to deal with caused more stress on me, which was totally uncalled for. As a Fibro sufferer, there is no reason to sit there and argue with a patient over $90 when they couldn't even give me time to get my records together and evidence to prove that they were to apply this little amount to my HRA account. I'm fed up with the staff and it's too bad for Dr. Salvato as I will be making a formal complaint with the medical board. The 2 women I've referred to this doctor has had the same problems that I've had with the staff, so I do have them to back me up. Sorry Dr. Salvato. You must start taking some control over your staff as you will continue to lose patients due to their incompetence.

I love the doc and the nurse practitioner, but why, why, why does the staff have to be so uncaring? Don't they know that when you hire on to deal with chronically ill people that those patients need concern, compassion and respect? And yes, CHECK YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS WHEN YOU LEAVE. Getting the mistakes the staff makes fixed takes phone calls, emails and leads to much stress. I have voiced my complaints, but I know better than to trust them. I suggest that when you visit this doctor that you write out every need and concern in duplicate. Hand one to the doctor and do not let her leave until all your needs are met. Because once she walks out the exam room door, you WILL NOT see her again until your next appointment.

I agree with shawnd that Dr Salvato and Carol are the greatest. I also agree that most of the rest of her staff are not so good at their jobs. I have learned to fax all my requests in, for prescriptions or whatever.

They do call back and take care of things then. BUT I even check all prescriptions before leaving the office. I've found that sometimes I get 30 days instead of 90 days if I don't check.

I find that Dr. Salvato is a great doctor. Getting in to see her is nearly impossible unless you make the appointment two months in advance. When I am able to get in, she takes her time to explain to me everything. She is not afraid to run every test she can think of to make sure her diagnosis is correct. She, and her PA, Carol, are very competent. On the other hand, I cannot think of one person on her staff that has a clue! From the receptionist to the nurses, even her medical records department. They all need to return to school and learn what it is that they are suppose to be doing. COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT! I have left several messages with someone in her office and when I finally get to speak to them (usually more than a week later), they tell me that they didn't get any messages from me. Impossible! It's all voicemail. The voicemail has their name on it. They just didn't take the time to call me back. This goes for the appointment desk, the nurses and the medical records department. And, when I tell them I have left several messages, the response is always the same, "Not with me you didn't". How aggravating! I have considered changing doctors several times because her office staff is so aggravating but, Dr. Salvato's greatness seems to change my mind every time. So, if you are looking for a great doctor, Dr. Salvato is the one for you. But be ready for your patience to be tested because her staff will push the limits.
