Anthony Carlese, DO
Anthony Carlese, DO, is Medical Director, Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit and Associate Professor, Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. His clinical focus is cardiac surgery intensive care, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) support and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). After obtaining his Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Villanova University in 1987, Dr Carlese earned his Doctor of Osteopathy at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1991. He then completed an internship at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in 1992. Following this, Dr Carlese completed a categorical internal medicine residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in 1995.
