Newport Beach Chiropractor: Reseach on Chiropractic Care for ADHD

This is an example of what corrective care chiropractors are doing. A 5 year old patient diagnosed with ADHD and treated by a pediatrician with methylphenidate (Ritalin), Adderall, and Haldol since he's been 2 years old and without any success other than the side effects that may have affected his nervous system negatively. He gets under the care of a corrective care chiropractor and he recognizes the lack of curve in his Cervical spine (neck) that are stretching the nerves inside of the spinal cord that communicate with his brain. An 8 week treatment of his spine and his facial tics are resolved nd his behavior has vastly improved. At visit 27, he is taken off the medication by his pediatrician because he no longer has ADHD symptoms. Magic? no. Simple physiology of the spine and the nervous system? yes.

The changes in structure and function may be related to the correction of his cervical curve (neck curve).
