I appreciated my conversation with Debby, but I had been offered a consultation with her a month earlier and had specifically requested to reschedule so that I could speak with Dr. Satterwhite himself. This is nothing against Debby, who took her time and answered all my questions, but it was incredibly important to me to speak with the surgeon himself to get a sense of whether our visions align, and I was bummed to receive a phone call from Debby when I had waited an extra month to speak with Dr. Satterwhite specifically. I do not feel comfortable having surgery until I have met with the surgeon directly (and most trans patients I know feel very similarly), and I hope I can arrange an office visit with him so that I feel more confident moving forward. Also, this call was over an hour later than the scheduled time, I understand that emergencies come up but would have appreciated the communication, since I left work early for this appointment. I appreciate all your team does and hope this feedback can help improve others' experiences!
