Dr. Meneghini is truly my hero ! I was sent to him because the Orthopedic Surgeons in my hometown gave up on attempting a total hip replacement in my left hip, due to excessive bone loss from cancer treatments to my pelvic area years ago. Then an infection set in after a few month after their attempt at the THR, They told me I would most likely be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. My first appointment with Dr. Menaghini was amazing. He had received and reviewed stacks of reports for the other Ortho Dr's and was clear that he would have 1 chance to get a hip replacement in. Well, 5 years later, I am preparing for my 5th THR with him . My body keeps producing an infection, (not connected with surgery or my care) and a few replacements ago I asked him about his original statement to me that he would only have 1 chance to get a new hip for me. His reply was that he is a different Dr. than he was at that time, always learning, discovering and NEVER GIVING UP ON HIS PATIENTS. He is not just a GREAT Surgeon,, but I feel like I'm being taken care of by "FAMILY" I am grateful Dr. Meneghini, , ….but he already knows that !! THANK YOU.
Dr. MENEGHINI and his staff has changed my quality of life. When I came to him I was in constant severe pain. He and his staff are very professional while still showing respect and true compassion for his patients. His education and skill levels are tremendous and I would highly recommend him to family and friends. While we were in the hospital, replacing my knees, the treatment we received was excellent!! When and if need additional replacements, I would not consider allowing anyone but Dr. Meneghini to do the surgery.
My experience with Dr. MENEGHINI was wonderful. I was initially very anxious about having hip replacement surgery but after consulting with Dr. MENEGHINI I felt calm and confident to be in his care. My surgery and recovery have both gone perfectly. I am very grateful. Dr. MENEGHINI is not only a very skilled surgeon, but also very kind and homest.
Did a fabulous job on knee, however, did not show as much interest in overall health that made a dramatic decline the first month where I lost 17 lbs, became extremely weak, and finally had to contact internist who did blood tests. Calcium extremely high, potassium extremely low, poor kidney function, etc. Ordered blood tests every two to three days and handled my care over next three weeks even when on vacation. When I returned to Dr. MENEGHINI and gave him the report from physical therapist about overall health with info regarding health decline, he simply opened the envelope, scanned it in seconds, and gave it back to me instead of putting it in file. Did not express real interest in what occurred following surgery, only interested in knee. Very disappointing and lacked compassion. I had planned a trip to Maine that had to be cancelled because of health decline and subsequent work to regain what I had lost following surgery. It would have been nice if surgeon had been as interested in my overall wellness due to surgery. Would not recommend him. It was almost like 'patient got a great knee but patient died.'
