The staff at this hospital were all professional, nice, and compassionate towards my needs. I received rock-star treatments from the moment I was admitted!! A few nurses and nursing assistants went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and happy while I was here, they made me laugh and put me in better spirits!! Bibi, RN and Sommer, CNA were attentive and so sweet! All of my physicians explained my treatments well and always asked how I was doing during each visit! I can't thank this hospital enough for the special care and for making me feel better.

We chose Kindred BayArea because we've been here before about 3 to 4 times. It's familiar and it's close to home and the staff is very well mannered. We transitioned from Bayshore Hospital We were greeted by Nurse Stephanie upon arrival to the hospital. She brought me sheets and pillows and the room was ready for us. It was a great transition. When we got here we had a private room. I like the fact that there are private rooms and they're upgraded. In this hospital everything looks new. I stay here night after night with my husband and the staff is great we had little to no issues. Nurse Tina explained all our medications, nurse Jackie, Stephanie, and and Penny were standouts in our eyes everyone else is really nice as well. The rehab staff was exceptional espcially Armando. and Q were excellent and always very helpful. Dr. Al, doctor Shebib's PA was very good we saw him a lot. Dr. Mullins was nice, Dr. Stein we loved him, Dr. Patel although we have our disagreements, he does a great job of taking care of my husband. Dr. Lee in physical therapy does a great job as well. I can't remember everyone's name but everyone at Kindred Bayarea was really really nice. If there's anything I have to complain about it will probably be with food service the portion sizes that we were receive were too small for my husband andthe trays were inconsistent with my husbands diet. I have to say Victor did attempt to correct the issues. Overall, we had a really nice stay and I would definitely refer family and friends to Kindred Bay Area.
Thank you to all staff!

Being an inpatient at Kindred Hospital Bay Area was a great experience overall, I was mainly admitted for wound care treatments and received excellent care. All restrooms were extremely clean, they had good food, and staff was well mannered and helpful. Nursing staff was all knowledgeable and compassionate. Renee, Marlies, Stephanie were excellent, Dalila was wonderful and all were so sweet! Night shift employees that were awesome were Eric and Brandan but of course there are names I'm missing. Rehab employees that stood out at Tisha, Tracey, And Yvonne. This hospital has a phenomenal wound care team, Heather, Katrina, and Lauren were the sweetest! However, Sandra stood out the most - she had to remove 32....that's right 32 staples and I didn't feel one of them tug at my skin or cause pain because she was so gentle! I am healing great now and overall I was very happy with the staff and hospital. No complaints on the doctors, they are excellent too. I would recommend this hospital to family and friends.

I would like to start by thanking everyone for the wonderful experience at this hospital, it surpassed all of my expectations!! I was admitted about three weeks ago for long term treatments, since I could no longer be treated at the hospital I was in. Upon arrival I was greeted by friendly nursing staff and my room was extremely clean and inviting. I especially liked the fact that I had a private room and that my husband could stay overnight if he chose to. In fact there were not any visiting hour restrictions, and my husband could come and go at all times if he wanted. I recall late one evening I was feeling a bit anxious and I called for my husband in the middle of the night, he showed up and none of the staff complained. They treated him with kindness and courtesy, and he was able to stay with me and then go to work the next morning. Everyone has been excellent and extremely nice, there were certain days I had very low spirits and wasn't feeling well because I couldn't necessarily fend for myself but the staff was respectful and caring and made sure to pick me back up with words of encouragement and made me feel less self-conscious. They completely understood how I felt and did all that they could to ensure that I was in better spirits. I would definitely refer this facility to friends and family!! Even the food was great! I felt like I could participate in my own care and was kept thoroughly informed of all treatment plans.

I haven't been in admitted to a hospital in more than 35 years, so I really didn't know what to expect when I was told at San Jacinto Methodist Baytown that I was being transferred to a hospital in Pasadena... When I first arrived my room was ready and the nurse greeted me and provided me with the food tray, I really enjoyed the food it was so wonderful, It did not taste like hospital food at all and since I hadn't been in a hospital setting in so long I didn't know hospital food could taste this good! All staff treated me wonderfully, they all went above and beyond for me. I especially love that I had my own private room, I was able to have lots of visitors stay with me and they were all very comfortable. All coordinating staff from the doctors to my case manager to the whole nursing, wound care and rehab teams have been very informative of my treatment plans and have been caring towards my recovery process. A few employees that stood out were Esperanze - CNA, Trisha, Tracey and Armando with Rehab, they all were extremely kind and really nice. I will definitely refer my family and friends to Kindred.

I was referred to Kindred by my physician, Dr. Gupta, and initially my insurance did not approve for me to be transferred to this facility but Dr. Gupta did an appeals to the insurance and was able to get me admitted, which I am extremely thankful for! My experience at Kindred Bay Area has been excellent and I will stay as long as I need to stay in order for me to get better. I am currently on day number 14 and am making wonderful progress. I absolutely love that I have a private room, and my only complaint would be that my room is sometimes too cold. But everyone has treated me nicely and have been attentive and accommodating. The physical therapy team has helped me strengthen my legs. I am even getting hyperbaric oxygen therapy to help heal my wounds, I like it very much and will continue to do it if needed. All in all it's a good hospital and I am very satisfied with their accommodations as well as their food, it's not like typical hospital food. If given the choice I would come back here, I have met some very nice people here, and I would definitely recommend for friends and family.

I have never been to kindred before, and was referred by my physician at St. Luke's. At first I thought I was going to have to pee discharged to a nursing home, but thank goodness I wasn't because this hospital experience was much better than having to be at a nursing home. The ambulance brought me from St. Luke's and it was a good drive over. I got to kindred at night and my room is ready and everything was available for me to use during the first night stay. Everyone of the nursing staff, technicians, housekeeping, and rehab text were very nice and went above and beyond for me. My attending physician, Dr. Haddad, was not very talkative but would always ask how I was doing and I was always doing good. Dr. Shebib's assistant, Dr. Feruky, was extremely pleasant and always made sure to explain things in a way that I understood. I really enjoyed the gym, they are so nice, we create you whenever they see you. They make you feel at home, sometimes when I would go to the gym I would asked to stay longer in my exercises because I loved their attitudes and humor. One day I was in a lot of pain and did not feel up to going downstairs to exercise, they understood and said I did not have to go, but they came back the next day and we picked up right where we left off. I really enjoyed the food here, it did look like hospital food however it did not taste like it... My favorites were the soups, homemade and full of flavor!!
I thoroughly love having up my own private room, and some nights my daughter was able to stay overnight. They never made her leave if it got too late.
I feel that everything and everyone here were very nice and they all make you feel comfortable especially when your stay is longer than 25 Days, tthank you everyone for the excellent care!!

The was my second visit to Kindred Bay Area, and I was once again treated with courtesy and respect by all staff members and physicians. The room was ready upon my admission and I actually had a few staff member waiting in the room too greet me when I got in. Some of the employees even recognized me from my last stay, even though having to be admitted to a hospital is never a pleasant experience, the Kindred team made it a smooth and welcoming transition. All staff members are really nice and made sure I thoroughly understood the plan of care and length of stay. Long term care means you'll be in the facility for 3+ weeks, which makes it difficult, but even though I'm at day 29 the staff continue to exceed my expectations. A few of my most favorite workers here have been Penny LVN, Dalila CNA, and Tisha OT - they are each friendly and a positive influence whenever I had a bad day and didn't have much motivation to do a lot. It didn't matter if I was having a bad day, they always made sure they left me feeling uplifted and able to refocus of recovering and pushing forward. Dr. Haddad is great, but unfortunately he is not in-network with my insurance company, I really hope he is added to my plan so that he could be my primary care physician after I'm discharged. I really enjoyed that he was thoughtful and gave me time out of his busy schedule to to talk to him and get details about treatment plans. My husband and I were accommodated by the therapy team, they would leave oxygen tanks so that we could walk the hospital at night and on the weekends. Overall I would come back if needed, and recommend and refer friends and family, thanks again.

Upon admission there were no problems and was settled into my room relatively fast. I had a clear understanding of my treatment plans and why I was being transferred to Kindred. There have been a few employees that have been very helpful throughout my stay, especially Esperanza the nurse aide. She always checks in on me to make sure I'm comfortable. Even the housekeepers have gone above and beyond to make sure my room stays clean, Maribel has been the best one so far. She frequently comes in, even if she isn't scheduled to come to my room she stops by and asks me how my day has been and if there is anything I need. I was extremely impressed with the therapy skills from Armando in PT, he always took his time and was thorough with my therapy treatments. Every staff member would explain what they were doing as far as care goes, and nurses would specifically explain the types of medicines I was taking. I would definitely recommend family and friends to kindred Bay Area.

Kindred Bay Area is filled with great employees that demonstrate that they truly care! I have thoroughly enjoyed being a patient here. Staff and nurses were very nice, especially the nursing supervisor Julian. When I needed to have blood drawn, he was the one that did it and he was excellent, I never had any problems with him. Another great employee I'd like to mention is Carrie (everyone call her Carebear, and here's why...) she always has a great sense of humor and was constantly making me laugh! She was beyond sweet to me and always made sure I had all that I needed. The hospital overall is clean and doesn't even really feel like a hospital setting because it's such a nice facility. The only issue I had was it being way too cold in the rehab gym, but I would usually take a blanket with me and then be fine. The food for the most part was tasteful and pleasing. Nikki and Von were lovely and such sweethearts!! You should definitely consider being a patient here, I recommend staying on the 2nd floor here, it offers greats views and on certain days you can watch the air show given by the planes near Ellington Field. Thank you to all the kindred Bay Area staff.
