I was transferred from the Patients Hospital to Kindred Bay Area. Overall I had a pleasant experience with the people giving the utmost greatest atmosphere. The restrooms were clean, shelves were stocked, staff was very well behaved and met all my my necessities. They only thing I had to gripe about was the food, but otherwise it was perfect. Dalila was especially pleasant during my stay.

I truly appreciate the ladies in the special procedures department. They are always on time and make sure my picc line is clean, working properly, and give me advice on how to maintain the line properly. They educated me on what to look for, and to let someone know if I feel there is a problem. But, the best thing is they make me feel like they are dealing with me as a person not just a patient. They always put a smile on my face from the time they enter my room until the time they are leaving and they always say "Have a nice day!". They always tell me if I need them feel free to call with the lease problem. I appreciate their concerns and their knowledge. I love the way they make me feel comfortable and how they take care of me. But, the best thing is they always leave me happy and smiling. It makes my day thank you very much Debbie and Jamie in Special Procedures Department.

I was originally recommend to Kindred by my doctor and my overall experience was the best anyone could ask for. The wound care nursing team are the most professional and caring team I have ever seen. Shelia Roberts, Leona Hargrove, Sandra Sanchez, Becky Killgore, and Lauren Gunnells are all of the employees in the wound care team that went bone and beyond for me. They each have displayed excellent care, and I would like to thank them all for being such a great supportive system during my stay. I also learned a lot from the team and feel confident enough to clean my wounds. I cannot forget to mention the Special Procedures team, Debbie Martin and Jamie Keene, both of these ladies have generous hearts and never hesitate pod touch assist me with anything I needed. My room was kept very clean, and all housekeepers were mindful of my privacy and personal items. All supplies were stocked well and I never had to ask for extra items because the PCAs brought me items on their own. This facility definitely met my expectations and needs, highly recommended.

I chose kindred Bay Area after being referred from Herman Memorial Hospital. My overall experience has been excellent, the atmosphere at Kindred Bay Area was great! My private room and restroom were always kept clean, I have no complaints. The food was wonderful - the kitchen staff was very accommodating. All staff was always well-dressed and well mannered. They exceeded my expectations and were always excellent. The staff member that provided me with excellent care and service was Heather in wound care, also the special procedures team - Debbie & Jamie. All staff at kindred Hospital Bay Area were excellent but these two areas exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend Kindred Hospital Bay Area to anyone. I'll miss the staff but I'm so thankful to be healed and heading home.

I've been admitted to Kindred Bay Area before so I knew that I'd have good treatments this time around again. The overall experience at this hospital has been great and the only time I had a concern was during a night shift when the call response time was slow to check my tele machine. Other than that, all staff members are good and knowledgable. I especially loved my Case Manager, Von, she was very helpful with arranging discharge items for me - she is excellent! Some days the food was amazing, other days, not so much, but I can't expect fine dining from hospital food. I would definitely return if I needed to, and recommend to others.

Everyone has been nice during the day and night shifts.. My most favorite nurse is Irma, she has been a great nurse that has always been on time with medications, which is something I really appreciate. Other departments that deserve praise and recognition are the Rehab and Wound Care Departments... Each one of their team members are knowledgable and gave me education on my treatments. Zero complaints about the hospital and its staff, even the kitchen and custodial staff were great. I would definitely recommend this hospital to family and friends needing long term care.

During my stay at Kindred in Pasadena, they had everything I needed and were able to tend to my needs. Even when I needed changing at night, the staff did so in such a respectful and caring manner, not once did I feel as I was a bother to them... 4 staff members I would like to personally thank for their care towards me are Felix, Paris, Sommer, and Raymon.
Felix is a day shift RN, he was the sweetest and kindest gentleman- he should keep going to s hoop to be Doctor one day!! Paris is a night shift RN who was excellent, I never had to call her about my medications because she always was on time. Sommer is a day shift CNA, she was always on the go but never seemed too busy to take her time with me. She would give me the best baths and was always so thorough. If something in my room was out of place she would take it upon herself to fix it and then still ask me if I needed anything. She is such a hard worker, and extremely caring. Lastly, Raymon, or shall I say Kindred's gentle giant...he is a night shift supervisor who came in and saved the day when I had a minute issue with a night nurse. He then cared for me himself, one night I had comfortable pillows surrounding me that he had placed there. He even helped with my incontinence, he would make sure I had things I needed without making me feel embarrassed for having accidents. He is definitely in the right industry because you can tell he really enjoys helping people without a complaint. Food was awesome here too! My physicians were all kind and helpful, especially Dr. Tran... He was very understanding and explained all of my treatments in a way I could easily understand them.

This hospital in general is awesome! Everybody has helped me, they have gone out of their way to help. This staff cannot be replaced or very hard to replace.. I cannot think on one person I have bad feelings for. Everyone was very kind and helping --- thank you ALL sooo much !

My wife couldn't have been treated any better throughout her stay at Kindred in Pasadena!! Treatments from all staff members and health disciplines were outstanding during both day and night shifts. Our three employees that stood out for going above and beyond for us were: Loretta, Carrie, and Brandon. The housekeeping team also did a great job of keeping my wife's room very clean!
Thank you all once again,
Mr. Hamaker

I transferred from Bayshore Hospital by ambulance. The ride was great! Being 87 years old, I have experienced a few healthcare facilities and when I arrived at kindred I was greeted and the staff took great care of me, I was pleasantly surprised. I have a private room and it was always kept very clean. Someone came and cleaned my room daily. This facility was top notch!! I received excellent care from all of the staff; they were so professional. Armando in therapy was very nice. While he and the rest of the rehab staff were working with other people he provided humor and kept me laughing through my work out. The staff greeted me no matter where I was in the building. Wound care was great! The food was really good! I'm a vegetarian and a diabetic. I was offered a black bean patty and I'm sure it was probably good but I don't like black beans. Despite the black bean patty all my meals were balanced and my overall experience was great. I would recommend my family and friends to come to Kindred if they are in need of long-term care. The doctors were very nice and made me feel comfortable. During my stay the nursing staff was great. One of the medications I was taking caused an allergic reaction, the staff realized really fast that I was allergic; they called my doctor, and they took care of me. The wound care team took really good care of my foot. I'm very pleased with all the treatment and great care I received!!! I want to thank each and every person especially Armando; Who helped take good care of me and helped in the process of getting me well. I love this hospital. Thank you all very much!

My son has been an inpatient at Kindred Hospital Bay Area for a little over one month, and throughout our stay here the entire team has been kind and supportive during this difficult time. We were transferred from Memorial Hermann Southeast where my son had two surgeries prior to being transferred so I was extremely nervous about having him moved to another hospital. The clinical liaison gave me two Kindred's to choose from, Cleark Lake and Bay Area - I was kind of nervous about this location because they kept saying how much smaller it was here, but I instantly left it and couldn't wait for my son to come to Bay Area. His brother lives in Cypress and it makes it easier for him to get on the Beltway to come and visit. Another plus was that all of his doctors come to Bay Area, except his surgeon. It's really nice here, everyone is so helpful! I was really surprised at the care he is receiving. It's so much better and personalized care than Memorial Hermann, they care is just absolutely wonderful!!! He receives a bath daily and the nurses are always in the room or available if I have questions. I really like that they let me watch them give him care treatments because I am able to learn from them what I may have to once we get home. The nurses are so helpful and take more time to explain things to me. I don't feel afraid to leave him here so that I can go home and get some rest. Even the respiratory team is always coming by to help and answer any questions that I have. We honestly could not have asked for a better team. I feel like I have to look really hard to find something wrong. I love it here and my son looks better everyday when I return, as a matter of fact he is doing so much than I thought he'd be doing considering his medical conditions. Thank you all so much, I have been given so many cards by so many staff members and you all say the same thing, "Call me if you need anything" which is very comforting. I will have to make a book with all of the cards I have received so I know who to contact! Best staff a mother could ask for!
