My mother has been in and out of this hospital for the past couple of years. I have been privileged to see how great this place really is. I have seen nurses that were just starting out to becoming an great care provider. I have also been privileged to have some of the best physical therapist work with my mom. This stay she had to visit the ICU and the care in there was amazing. We had the sweetest nurse Connie and she really made sure my mother wanted for nothing. The only problem I had was I would go out and try to get ice and the staff did not like me using the ice room. There is always one bad apple in the bunch. Over all the care was top notch. I really enjoyed the staff talking football with me and always making sure I was ok. They said to me, "family is an important component of healing!" I could not agree more.
Being at the hospital is never a great thing. That being said Kindred Hospital La Mirada did everything they could to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Upon admissions was greeted by the directors of Rehab and Respiratory, The Patient Advocate, and the social worker. They gave me telephone numbers to all of the services and leaders in the hospital. Everyone would stop if I put on the call bell, they would get who ever I needed. TheRehab was amazing! Veronica took the time to push me to my potential and in a kind way. The only complaint I have was the quietness at night, but it is a hospital. You can't expect it to not have beeping and noises. I really had a great time here, they really made a bad situation better with their helpful fandom attitude.
I was at this hospital for a couple of weeks and it was awesome. My only complaint was there was no ESPN. they did have WiFi though so I could get online to see the games. The nurses were great and they took the time to listen to what I needed. The dietary department took extra special care of my on my birthday with cake and a requested dinner. This was a great place to be
Been in and out of this Hospital. The staff is always polight and professional. The rehab is the best out of anywhere I have been. Veronica is so encouraging to me and really pushes me to my best. The food is ok just lacks seasoning but that is easily fixed. Dorthy ,y case worker has been a God send in helping me get home. I am so thankful for the personable staff. They are what makes this hospital great.
During the time I was at kindred the staff of techs, nurses, lvns, cnas, and all the resp. Occupt, and physical therapist were great, professional and helpful. The administration people were also attentive and very professional, helping in my needs. The meals were good and the kitchen people were ver condition get to whatever I needed. My only négative experience was with the pharmacy. They got my medicine wrong twice in dosage. They didn't explain to the nursing staff how two of my medications should be administered. These were very serious, life altering medications for some one with PVOD and pulmonary hypertension. The worst two experiences came when I was told, at night, I would not be given Myphenolate Myforbic. The reasons varied from, They ran out of the drug, because I was leaving, because I stayed too long, because the doctors cancelled it and because someone in the system erased it. I don't believe and of the. I was left to get ahold of the doctors myself and they reinstated the medicine.
