My mother has been in and out of this hospital for the past couple of years. I have been privileged to see how great this place really is. I have seen nurses that were just starting out to becoming an great care provider. I have also been privileged to have some of the best physical therapist work with my mom. This stay she had to visit the ICU and the care in there was amazing. We had the sweetest nurse Connie and she really made sure my mother wanted for nothing. The only problem I had was I would go out and try to get ice and the staff did not like me using the ice room. There is always one bad apple in the bunch. Over all the care was top notch. I really enjoyed the staff talking football with me and always making sure I was ok. They said to me, "family is an important component of healing!" I could not agree more.
Being at the hospital is never a great thing. That being said Kindred Hospital La Mirada did everything they could to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Upon admissions was greeted by the directors of Rehab and Respiratory, The Patient Advocate, and the social worker. They gave me telephone numbers to all of the services and leaders in the hospital. Everyone would stop if I put on the call bell, they would get who ever I needed. TheRehab was amazing! Veronica took the time to push me to my potential and in a kind way. The only complaint I have was the quietness at night, but it is a hospital. You can't expect it to not have beeping and noises. I really had a great time here, they really made a bad situation better with their helpful fandom attitude.
