Dr. Hammett is by far the most compassionate vet I've ever had. We have been going to himfor 7 years. My dog has been through a variety of injuries and illnesses. They were all handled with his comfort and health, as well as my budget in mind. When my 21 year old cat reached the final year of her life, Dr. Hammett walked me through the process. He clearly understood how hard it was to say goodbye to my precious friend. The experience is never sales oriented, rushed, or condescending. My 1/2 star off is due to recent office staff turnover. Additionally, because it is a small office there is less availability than some more corporate operations. However, these are extremely minor concerns. With all of the other options in the area, I have never even considered switching.

This review system is a joke! I wanted to give a 5 star but based on the answers I selected it gave 4.5 and THEN wrote up its OWN review based on my answers (which I deleted and then put my OWN as you can see). Dr. Hammett is a great vet, the staff is helpful and friendly, and we LOVE him. We have been using this vet for years and I can not imagine anyone not being happy with him or his staff. Dr. Hammett is kind, patient and he knows his job. He has an obvious love for animals and animals seem at ease around him. No, his office isn't huge, I really didnt pay attention to what magazines were on the table because it didn't matter because you don't sit and wait long. Are there really people out there who select a vets office based on the selection of magazines in a vet office? If so they need to rethink things!
