I wish I could give a zero-star review!! I took my dog in for allergies, my first mistake was allowing them to take him in the back without me. when they finally brought him to the room myself and my daughter were in waiting for him, he came in the room limping!! What did they do to my poor dog? It has been three-days, and he still will not use his back left leg!! Dr Takas Sr. was so rude to us and say some awful things to us!! I have never been spoken to by anyone like this idiot spoke to us!! IHe was having a bad day, but you never take it out on your patient's owners!! I will never recommend this jerk to anyone!!! He was arrogant and nasty and VERY unprofessional. Please take your pets to someone who cares about all pets and not here!!!

Today, we had to put down our 18 yr.Yorkie, Buddy. Dr. Gracie was fabulous, as well as the entire staff. His transition was peaceful and not rushed. I can't thank you enough for the great care over the years. The Tackas family are the best.
Thank you again from the bottom of my heartbroken heart.

Excellent, Excellent care, every single time. They have gone above and beyond what is expected. Dr. Michael is wonderful and I would highly recommend him, Jim, Gracie or Joel. Every time we have been there, they have answered all questions. When our dog was hospitalized, they called with updates. When I call because I am not sure of something, the staff or the Dr calls back. We are so lucky to have them in our community!!

A nightmare experience that will haunt me for yrs. My beautiful Doberman died from complications from a surgery that she should have survived. She was only 4 yrs old, healthy and in her prime but died from pneumonia before they even knew it. Ebensburg Animal Hospital is a super high volume, almost puppy mill like environment that seems to only care about making money. All they do is make lame excuses and take no accountability for their errors. Nothing really more than a family run conveyer belt to pad their pockets. Just trying to get through by phone can be an all day event. Not unusual to call a dozen times and not get closer than 10th in line. Spare yourself the headache and go somewhere else!!

I wouldn't have given this vet office 1 star. Every time I had to deal with them it's been trouble! I made my female an apt for c-section and ask for the Jim the vet to call me. He never did. A couple of days before I called to confirm her apt. They never scheduled her! Asked again for the vet to call me. I wanted to make sure of the dates to do this because its very serious if they are early! He never did! Took my dog in for her c-section. When she was done I had 12 puppies. Not really when I got home and counted them there was 13. That's when I noticed they were full of fluid. I called the vet in johnstown he Said call the vet who did it. I called them and told them to have Jim call me. He did not someone else called and Said thing them. There is nothing we can do. There is a medicine for this that puppies should be treated with ASAP! My puppies never got treated because they never looked at the when they were born! The puppies also had to much Anastasia they could not suck and the mother wouldn't move for 5 days! She was in a bad way! They weighed her in at 93 pounds and her regular weight is 65. We took her and puppies to vet in somerset and he told us she was over medicated! I had to hand raise the puppies! When I took them 3 weeks later for an emergency visit here. They had emergency and really couldn't deal with us. Jamie the vet that waited on us would come in for 5 min then leave for 15-20 min come back for 5 min and same thing she told us she Had an emergency but I was there for an emergency! She brought medicine back for puppies and told us to give it to them! 92.00 while at this emergency visit I went out to ask if we could get a box and Was told by staff that she was to busy at counter to find one and that she wasn't working that side of the office anyway! Thanks! Just give me the bill! Well not really because my sister stood at the counter for 15 min and still couldn't get waited on! We left and Jamie called me to pay my bill. I told her to have Jim to call me! Guess what he never did! I got my bill in the mail. I called up again. This is now a month later! Told the staff to call me and I was surprised this lady gave him the message! Really I'm sure he got all of them he just don't like to deal with anyone! That many messages probably isn't the staff! Anyway I could tell just from his voice were this was going to go! He said I herd all about it now what do you want! Told him about the situation that he already heard from staff and of course he sided with his staff! Apparently Jamie spent 45 min with us on our emergency! Lol that is damn funny! And it's ok to treat paying customers like shit! Because the boss don't care either! He told me that I didn't have to pay the 92.00 and that I could stay in Somerset! And of course he never got one message to call me! 5 of my puppies died and almost lost the mother and don't come back because I don't like to talk to people! I had my other dogs leg fixed before this and he still can't walk good! I would not recommend this place for anything plus there staff is so rude! Mary b really needs some social skills!
