This company is HORRIBLE. They took on a work order to repair my electric wheelchair, and after subcontracting the work to Roadrunner Mobility and then Roadrunner contracting out the work to Medfirst Home Care in NJ, and having the subcontractors working on my order for 3 months, Landauer stopped all work on claims. They stranded me with a still broken chair after 3 months, and then I find that they've filed for bankruptcy. What is even scarier is that they provide respirator care for very sick people, and my insurance company Aetna still has them listed as a provider. This is a PIG of a company.the NYS department of Consumer Protection, the BBB, The advocacy group "Disabled In Action", the Mayor's Office for Persons with Disability and finally the Joint Commission of the Accreditation of Health Care Organizations. There may well be others. I am also (along with others) considering legal action against Landauer and Roadrunner. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS COMPANY!

I am a Chinese, I am not really good at English. But this company really make me so mad. We have been with them since my son discharged from rehab in feb 2012. B/c the rehab help me set up with Landauer . At the beginning they did good service . But after stayed with Landauer for 2 month , we start have problem. The rep they never ever think they have problem. They never ever listen to me.
Once time my son who is fed tub ran out food. When I called Landauer to order. They told me they still wait for authorization from insurance , so I called insurance told my son situation and asked why take so long . The insurance rep told me they just got the prescriptions couple days ago . Actually I faxed prescriptions to Landauer at least 20 days ago. And when I called back to Landauer , they were mad at me. They told me I complain to wrong person . And they told me even I kept calling them, it"s not going to help things out
One more thing is I ordered 4 different items with Landauer again on 19 August 2013. They told me they don't have anything in store for my son, if I want they can place order for me , but it will take 2 days usually, but when I called back in 3 days , they told me still on back order, they don't ever know how long will take. That''s redicuse .
If I heard the Landauer was going to close down , it doesn't surprise me at all.

Prior to my daughters discharge from acute rehab in 2010, the rehab facility set up all my daughters needs (i.e. respiratory needs, ventilator, hoyer lift etc) with Landauer. I can't remember when I ever received a timely shipment or received a complete shipment. I'm always going back asking for status of the order. Just recently I only received two items out of 80 and when I called customer service, they said all were on back order! It wasn't until I pushed the rep that it was determined the shipping department lost two pages of my order. It's been over two weeks and multiple follow ups since the order was placed, and they advised I should finally receive the order today or tomorrow.
The only thing good about Landauer is the respiratory therapists.. very knowledgeable and friendly.

If I could I would change, but is any other company out there any better??

These guys are AWFUL! I'm getting special baby formula from them and there is ALWAYS a problem. One person tells you one thing, and another another thing. It's ridiculous. Also when I call, once I FINALLY get ahold of someone (after being the 1st person in the queue for 5 minutes and just rying later - and 2 other times just being trasfered around and treated rudely) they tell me to call back in 30 minutes because they can't take my order right now.
I'm getting a new perscription next round from a different fullfilment option! These guys are horrid!


There was only a couple of times where the staff was actually able to answer my questions. Most of the time, they'd refer me to their boss or another staff member. I would never refer any of my family and friends to go here. If I had know how terrible they were I never would have gone. Every time I had a concern, or if I called to ask a question, the staff made me feel like I shouldn't have called. They weren't helpful at all. I was treated terribly. I'm absolutely positive that I would have gotten better service anywhere else. I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed.
