I had to bring my dog to Shenandoah Valley Regional Veterinary Emergency Services when she passed away. They were incredible. So compassionate and attentive. Nothing we asked of them was too much. They provided us with a BEAUTIFUL wooden box with her ashes and a paw print with a heart charm. I will always keep this memento and remember their kindness during one of the worst days of my life.

To everyone that wants to complain about the staff - YOU need to wear these people's shoes for one night!!!! YOU need to be more understanding!!!! How many of your would be able to look again and again at a pet in the eyes and comfort them at a time when their life is being ended and maintain professionalism at such a sad time - these people do it nightly. How many of you could work in an environment where you want to fix and save them all but can't, or watch them suffer and can't help them. For all of you that say/think "I'm never going back there again" where are you going to take that 4-footed friend in the middle of the night or on the weekend - or are you just going to let it suffer. People are not made from a mold and everyone deals with death and trauma differently. For all of you that are so quick to complain & judge - YOU need to work/live in their shoes for a night. I BET you couldn't handle it. I am VERY glad they are available. Thank you!

I could tell that they took pride in their office's appearance. It was very well organized and well taken care of.
They took plenty of time with us and answered our questions patiently.
They appeared qualified and knowledgeable. I could tell that they've been doing their job well for quite a while.
This is an emergency service so they are not familiar with your pet as your regular vet would be, but they do their best to find out the pet's history. They do provide all the test results and observations to your regular vet promptly.
