This place is the worst in Las Vegas it is hell in there the staff from doctors to all others all they are looking for is your money your loved one is just A piece of meat in there please take my advice do not send your loved one here you will regret it.

My mother originally came to Silverhills for rehabilitation after her hospital stay. Before she came to Silverhills my mother walked with assistance of a cane. She drove, and was for the most part- an active member of society. My mother suffered from a blotched hip surgery, and needed some physically therapy at a rehabilitation place to regain some of her movements and walking skills. My mother had always taken care of her own endeavors; she was young in her early sixties. Not before too long of my mother’s stay she started to complain about not receiving any physical therapy, and being told she now would be confined to a wheelchair. I just figured maybe they wanted her to heal more before starting and intense physical route. I, as her daughter feel ashamed I did not take a more active role with my mother. My mother always took care of herself before- and with the busy life I had- weeks quickly turned into months. Before I even knew it, the Silverhills facility took over all my mother’s income. Her bank was drained completely dry, all her bills (credit cards, insurance payments, phone, ect) all went unpaid. They moved my mother from Medicare to Medicaid; as apparently Medicaid pays more (over$250/ per day- just for the shared room alone), and requires no co-pay. It was like my mother went from having good credit to horrible credit overnight- she went completely broke- she did not even had the funds to pay any of her outstanding bills. Her bank account that she has had for most of her life had to be closed. Her life insurance policy got canceled. Everything turned into a giant financial mess. Silverhills upped the dosages all my mother’s medications and added sleeps aids and more pain pills- with still no physical therapy in sight. Since my mother has been there she has been spit on, had items stolen (from jewelry to electronics), and has even been verbally abused and screamed at by staff. I am now dealing the daunting task trying to get my mother in another facility, or have her come home to stay with me- this has sadly proven easier said than done- as currently they have all her income, and she is in the worst physical and mental shape of her life. I have reached out to social workers, healthcare professionals, and even gone down to the social security office to no avail. There is so much red tape, paper work, and everything to try and find a better place for my mother. I am beside myself that I let things get so bad, I just assumed my mother was in good hands, and would have gotten better. I had no idea a rehabilitation place could do all this, and it all seemed to have happened so fast. My mother has had surgeries before and had gone to rehabilitation facilities and it was nothing like this. Silverhills is no place to go for rehabilitation!

If you are considering this place for a loved one to get better, I plead to you to do your homework. Go to the Silverhills on an unannounced visit. You will see the countless of patients in wheelchairs- some sitting in their own filth along the hallways, crying and screaming in pain for help and being completely ignored by staff. Yelling for help can be heard coming from the rooms throughout the facility. You see much of the staff in clusters gossiping amongst themselves, and seem to care less of the begging for help the patients are doing all around them. It is a depressing hell hole. Don’t let all the awards featured prominently as you first walk in the main entrance fool you. Just keep walking past the first series of façades and you will see for yourself exactly what I am talking about.

The staff was not respectful. They did not speak kindly to my mother, The entire staff was so rude and inconsiderate. I couldn't believe they would be so mean. My mother ask for a wash towel so that she could wash her face no one never brought it to her. They just left her in her bed all day if not for me coming to see her and get her up they would have keep her in the bed all day. She ask for some water and was never given to her, I brought my mother bottle water in every day just so that she does not have to wait on them. The staff there seem like they are over worked and don't care about the people they are caring for. If I have my way I will remove my mother from this place

My 78 year old Mom went to the hospital with a broken hip. She was sent to Silver Hills for rehab before she could go home. I was so impressed with the progress my Mom made while at Silver Hills and the professionalism of the therapists and staff. All my questions were answered, and I was included in the therapy sessions with my Mom. I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future for my Mom. I plan on telling everyone I know about how fabulous the therapy department is at Silver Hills. They were by far one of the best I've ever seen in their field. It was obvious that they've been exceeding their clients' expectations for a long time. They are so kind and caring, and accommodated my work schedule so I could be there when my Mom was getting therapy. If anyone I know needs therapy or a nursing home to go to, I would highly recommend Silver Hills. After meeting the staff, I was completely at ease having my Mom stay at Silver Hills for her rehab. They went to great lengths to make sure my Mom and I were completely relaxed and comfortable the entire time.

After my father had a stroke he needed extensive physical occupational and speech therapy. The staff worked with him in a caring manner even though he can be very stubburn and grouchy. After a long road of recovery we were able to get him back home . They evel did a trial run , where they took him home and put him through a series of tests to make sure he was SAFE to come back home.

I feel like my Mother's stay at Silver HIlls was the worse experence she's ever had. She's been there a couple of times before and all was good. But this time it was terrible..she went in with a fractured knee..ended up with pnuemonia and bed sores..the Dr was never around. She left Silver Hlls in worse condition than when she went in. If she has to go to a facility again it will not be Silver Hills. They sent her home expecting me to clean up their mess.
