This place is horrific & the staff there are a nightmare worst then your worst nightmare my father in law was they & they tortured him until he finally lost his fight against the damage they cause him & as far as I’m concerned they killed him. They left him in bed for days in soiled clothes we scream to the roof tops to get him out of this place that we had no choice on him going there & if killing him wasn’t bad enough this facility tries to over charge you for time the resant isn’t even there & for medical care they don’t even have them & when you know something is wrong with your loved one the staff tells you your crazy you don’t know what your talking about this not only should this place be shut down because it’s in deplorable conditions & the staff just abuse the patients & steal there belongs on a daily basis we had to rebuy his cloths repeatedly because they came up missing & his cell phone had to be replaced 3 times because it grew legs & walked away they feel that they should be paid for killing you loved ones if your reading this & you still have a choice on where your loved one can go run as far away as you can from this place because if you leave them here they will be dead within a few months ounce they are there no one will let you move them because they will exhaust there insurance before you realize it it will be to late no one will take them ounce they do not have anymore insurance coverage I wouldn’t even send my stuff toys to this place ever again let alone a human bean I hope this helps save at least 1 person’s life being ended by neglect & abuse in hopes that someday we can get this place shut down for good & these staff people held accountable for basically killing the resants there

The worst nursing home in WNY by far, its dirty, the staff is horrid with the exception of a few good people, The staff is never around and my loved one has suffered abuse in this home and neglect, Left in soiled pants for 3 or more days, Broken beds, floors all stick to your feet, Disrespect towards patients and family from the staff, taking away food from patients before they have finished, No staff present ( Normally gossiping in some break room or even on another floor), Send your elderly family here if you want them to become zombies with less rights than a terrorist. I have the Video and pictures to prove it and am getting my loved one out of this hell hole asap and taking legal action as well as contacting the board of health. Pitiful

Yes! They took a personal call right in front of me. I found it to be incredibly rude.

Is this really a nursing home it says skilled nursing who is skilled? An I an skilled at what ! The skill I've have seen not cleaning the elderly residents all of them sit in bed all day . an I mean allllll dddaayyy! The other skill I've seen when I go there those so called skilled nurses are sitting watching cable TV, sitting reading magazines that a real skill I guess not doing your job is a real skill that is done really well .walk into a room with you shoes sticking to the floor an not cleaning anything is a good quilty skill ..since the elderly people who live in have no shoes ,god bless the one that do . but thats not even the worst part about this quality of life for the elderly nursing home ,they say a good place for mom or dad ..to say that .they are skilled in llying ..wanna know my skill reporting this dump is number one one the list sending pictures of the people who never move an inch everyday an all day .the truth to this place in the heart of the town of tonawanda is ,the elderly that live here have the skill to be stuck with bunch of unskilled individuals ..very sad and, very sickening ..stop in I dare you I guarantee you'll be pissed and sickened and shock that these scam artists treat human being like this ..the church need to go there an do a exorcism on these nurses ,aids , social workers what ever they think they are ..NEW YORK STATE IS IN TROUBLE ! An to TOM the sick individual that operates this place an many others like this . HOW low are YOU . what church do you attend ,you should be ashamed . I feel bad for your parents that thought they raised a monster that would actually give the elderly quality of living You should of told them an the STATE OF NEW YORK ! You just wanted to steal there money ! Shame on you ! Your the sickest of them all ! By far ... My father in law has dementia and after 3 falls at home, he was taken to a local hospital/ER for evaluation. They admitted him, and eventually sent him to Sheridan Manor for "skilled" nursing care. On the first day that we visited Dad there, the entire staff was on their good behavior. All friendly smiles and wonderful promises of excellent care. The building itself was old and needed updating/cleaning, but since we really had no choice at the time, we had to leave Dad there. By the 3rd visit, we noticed that most of his clothing was gone. We were told, "it's in the laundry". He had a shower that 3rd day, then went 9 days wearing the same clothing, without another shower. I brought it to the attention of the nurse administrator who promised she would look into it. By the end of his 3 week stay at Sheridan Manor, he had a total of 2 showers, he was back to being in the same condition he was in when he was admitted there and now he's back in the hospital. I just called Sheridan Manor to request that they pack up his belongings so that we could come and pick them up today. Again, we were told that most of his things were in the laundry and wait until Monday. They refuse to admit that 85% of the clothes he came in with (a suitcase full) and the replacement clothes that I took to him, (another suitcase full) are missing and presumed lost/stolen. I do not recommend ANYONE placing a loved one in this facility. They are operating one degree above having the health department shut them down.

very poor patient care, my parent has been there for 3 months and has had to be hospitalized twice for severe dehydration because the staff does not provide water for him; also for falling out of his wheelchair and developing celluitis in the resulting wound. He has fallen twice since he's been in there. The staff doesn't care about the patients; all they do is sit around and gossip

As a retired entertainer and music therapist, it was my choice to have my mom stay at Sheridan Manor. Just so you know, I've worked at 75 of the 125 elder care facilities in WNY so I've seen just about everything. My uncle has been at Sheridan Manor for at least four years and really likes it. Two of my friends were also there for rehab and seemed to be satisfied with the care they received during their stays. As for mom, this nursing home thing is new to her. She does say that the food is really good and their Activities Director does an outstanding job. It's no wonder that, on the average, they consistently have 99 out of 100 beds occupied.

I would never refer any of my family and friends to go here. If I had know how terrible they were I never would have gone. I wasn't too impressed with their office, I could tell they didn't take much pride in it's appearance. They've answered a couple of my questions over the phone, but most of the time I have to schedule an appointment. It is so refreshing to see a provider that you can tell truly cares about their appearance. They strive to maintain a professional appearance and look their best at all times. They make no effort to make me feel special. I don't think they appreciate my loyalty to them.
