Holly Hill Manor is a great nursing home that actually cares and loves its residents. I am writing this review not because I used to work here, but because of what I can compare to with other facilities around the Baltimore area.
Before my employment here in 2004, I volunteered in many nursing homes in the Baltimore area, including one near the mall just north of Holly Hill. It was so.........Bland compared to Holly Hill Manor. Holly Hill Manor provides its residents with many station nurses per resident, meals that are prepared fresh daily, on-time treatment and care 24/7, and activities -- holiday dinners/lunches with staff and family members, field trips, BINGO with prizes, arts & crafts, birthday celebration for residents, Christmas tree lighting/decorating, church visits, live music, nature/biography/classic movie nights, NYE's celebration, Mothers/Fathers day brunch, bbq, morning exercises, reading/poetry, etc....
I've seen a lot volunteering in nursing homes, but nothing as active and engaging as this one! Even though it has been over 2 years since I last worked here, I still visit the residents and am honored with the relationship that I have built with them, as well as the friendly staff.
The cleanliness of Holly Hill Manor was better than any other facility I worked at. We, as staff wanted to come to work everyday. I had a wonderful 7 years here and I have everyone to Thank, especially the residents.
