The staff were extremely kind to my father and gave him excellent care. They fed him his meals. Before bringing him to Holly Hill Manor, we had cared for him at home. Home health care was extremely expensive. We found that we saved a lot of money when we moved him to Holly Hill Manor. We found the care at Holly Hill Manor to be much more comprehensive. My family ate at the dining room fairly often and found the food to be reasonable and healthy. The grounds are well cared for and are very pleasant to walk around. There were always snacks available for the patients.

Holly Hill Manor is not a big facility, but it was clean. The staff was fantastic. The food was actually pretty good. Overall, my mother loved it while she lived there.

The staff at Holly Hill Manor is wonderful. They take excellent care of the residents, really getting to know their likes and dislikes. The small number of residents allowed for very personalized attention. The staff went above and beyond for not only my mother but also other residents. They worked hard to keep the family informed, and when problems arose, they sought solutions. My mother really enjoyed her tablemates, as well as the activities provided by Holly Hill Manor. My family and I are very thankful to have had a place like Holly Hill Manor for my mother when she needed help. We especially appreciated that they kept each resident's laundry separate, no need to iron name tags into each piece of clothing. My mother enjoyed the food-that is important, when you're leaving your home and having to have someone else cook for you! Since she wasn't a morning person, and took a long time to get dressed because of her illness, it was wonderful for her to be able to have a bowl of cereal in her room, instead of going downstairs to the dining room. Other assisted living facilities we looked at required residents to be at all meals. The staff really believed in keeping people as independent as they could be for as long as possible. Even though it would have been faster to just dress Mom themselves, they always just supervised her getting dressed. They made sure she was safe, and wouldn't fall, but encouraged her to do as much as possible for herself. I can't say enough good about the staff at Holly Hill Manor!

Holly Hill Manor is a great nursing home that actually cares and loves its residents. I am writing this review not because I used to work here, but because of what I can compare to with other facilities around the Baltimore area.

Before my employment here in 2004, I volunteered in many nursing homes in the Baltimore area, including one near the mall just north of Holly Hill. It was so.........Bland compared to Holly Hill Manor. Holly Hill Manor provides its residents with many station nurses per resident, meals that are prepared fresh daily, on-time treatment and care 24/7, and activities -- holiday dinners/lunches with staff and family members, field trips, BINGO with prizes, arts & crafts, birthday celebration for residents, Christmas tree lighting/decorating, church visits, live music, nature/biography/classic movie nights, NYE's celebration, Mothers/Fathers day brunch, bbq, morning exercises, reading/poetry, etc....

I've seen a lot volunteering in nursing homes, but nothing as active and engaging as this one! Even though it has been over 2 years since I last worked here, I still visit the residents and am honored with the relationship that I have built with them, as well as the friendly staff.

The cleanliness of Holly Hill Manor was better than any other facility I worked at. We, as staff wanted to come to work everyday. I had a wonderful 7 years here and I have everyone to Thank, especially the residents.
