We admitted my mother into this facility for a two week stay to receive physical therapy to increase her strength before embarking into radiation and chemotherapy. The transport team seemed nervous as they dropped her off, we should have paid more attention to them, but were concerned about settling our mother in. the sheets that were pulled to the end of the bed were stained. I kicked the straw, fork and napkin under the bed to set my mother up as she was short of breath. Although the social worker/events coordinator/admission/whatever else she does did come in to welcome us and show me where I could get some ice. The nurse never did come in after numerous requests. Dinner was served-half a baked potato under cooked with a dab of sour cream, slimey zucchini-I think, and some sort of breaded cutlet. It looked so bad we dug out an ensure for her dinner. Still short of breath we decided to have her get back into bed and call the nurse. Still nothing. As we situated her we realized (after two hours) they never hooked her oxygen tube to anything, just tucked it behind her bed. Her roommate had her bed to the ground with a mat to protect her if she fell (I assume). She blocked the pathway to the bathroom. My mom who was weak needed to use the bathroom so asked for a porta pot. It took them a half hour to find one and another half hour to clean it before she could use it. She waited a full hour. There is more, but the biggest thing was they made me pay them $150 cash before they would release her to the transport team to take her to another facility. I got a handwritten receipt, apparently talked to a nurse practioner only to find out-they don't have one, so not sure who it was.....I WOULD NOT PUT MY DOG HERE>
