The care I received from Dr. Darrell Brett is beyond measure. Dr. Brett was compassionate, direct, honest, and made himself available to answer any questions I had or my family had. He felt like a family member looking out for my best interests. His staff was friendly, attentive, and accessible. Dr. Brett explained the surgery fully, desired outcome, the low percentage of risk involved, and recovery expectations. Dr. Brett and Dr. Johansen were both involved with surgery, Anterior Cervical arthroplasty with mobi-c artificial discs and anterior cervical fusion. Both spoke with me separately prior to surgery and let me know again, what to expect. Dr. Brett said a prayer with me before we went into the operating room. He also checked on me later that day and the following day in the hospital. Dr. Brett is a wonderfully skilled surgeon and doctor. My scar was unbelievably minimal and looked great just 10 days after the procedure. Dr. Brett is the best and I recommend him with highest regards.

I had surgery at Adventist Health Portland Hospital, and stayed overnight. The nursing staff was terrific and all had great things to say about Dr. Brett and his 30+ year tenure at the hospital. Thank you Dr. Brett.

Dr. Brett performed by 2nd L5/S1 Laminectomy. I am going on 6 weeks post surgery and felling much better. Still giving the nerves time to heal and strengthen. Dr. Brett is very professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend NW Spine Surgery to everyone needing treatment/surgeries. The first laminectomy was in 2019 with a previous Dr. and obviously was not a success.

I had a work injury and this was going to be my second surgery on my back. I was in increasingly and terrible pain at all times. I was very nervous about this, but after seeing Dr. Brett I was at ease about what was next. This man (Dr.Brett)allowed many questions and gave answers in which I could understand. I have been given a great opportunity to have been under his care. Thank you very much Dr. Brett.

Dr. Brett from my initial visit was very cordial, he was very interested and concerned about my spinal & nerve condition which was 20 years in the making. Once Dr. Brett had received both the x rays and MRI which showed damage to both L4 and L5, he explained the specific laminectomy surgery to be performed, risks, and the desired outcome which was to be free of the nerve pain. The results have been "phenomenal"! I highly recommend Dr. Brett. Thank you Dr. Brett, staff, and Adventist Hospital.

I had an accident at work. In the end I had to have a Laminectomy and discectomy done. A lot of people don't like his personality, but agree he is one of the best in the country. I liked his personality, he's just very direct and tells you the truth. His personality was great for fighting Workmans comp for me. He appealed their decisions many times to get my MRI and Surgery approved. He will fight the insurance companies for you. Although I'm not 100% better yet. This Dr. is a miracle worker. I wasn't sure I'd ever be able to go back to work. I'd be happy with where I'm at right now because I didn't think getting back to this point was even possible.

You will not regret your decision. He is very talented and knowledgeable.

One of the best in the business. On July 24 I was involved in a car accident that required two Cervical discs replacement. First, I didn't want to do the surgery because of fear of the unknown. So Dr. Brett prescribed a medication to be taken for two weeks. The med worked for the first week then the excruciating pain returned with more intensity. I returned to Dr. Brett and asked him if there is any option, find out that surgery was the only option for my disc had moved and pinched my nerve. After discussing the risk and benefit I decided to do it.
Dr. Brett assured me there is below 1% percent risk. What impresses me the most is his confidence, gentleness, and listening ability. He treated me like a person and attentively listened to my concern, answered every question which assured me the surgery will be a success. The surgery was a success, and my pain disappeared immediately.
After surgery, I visited for follow-ups at his office. I didn't even have to leave the building to get my exray for checkups. It is conveniently located next door. The staff was curious and efficient. Now I am back to work fell like a bran-new man.

DR Brett performed surgery on my back, he fused my L4 and L5 and I"m going back to work Monday after 5 weeks since the fusion. Dont hesitate, If you want the best Dr Brett is the right choice! The facilities in Wilsonville are top notch.

Dr. Brett helped resolve my pinched nerve after my accident. He moved his schedule around specifically to accommodate my needs. Not only was the surgery done well, but I really enjoyed his attitude throughout the entire process. It really put me at ease with the thought of having plates put into my neck.

Dr. Brett is very good at what he does. As soon as I came out of surgery my symptoms were gone. He said he could fix my problem and he did.
