The Pain Management Dept and the Spine Department are awesome. Dr. Kalliny and Dr. Jeff Gleimer are the best.

DO NOT go to Regional Orthopedics. Complete lack of respect for patients time and patient care.

My 1st appointment I waited 30+ minutes. For my follow-up appointment I called to confirm the person I was seeing was running on schedule, I was assured he was, and when I arrived I waited 30+ minutes again.

During my 1st appointment I made it very clear to the physicians assistant that I was experiencing extreme pain, he sent me for a test at another office. When I went back for the follow-up to read the test results the physicians assistant stated I needed an MRI. I once again explained to him the level of pain I'm living in and the importance of getting my issue diagnosed in a timely manner. That appointment was last Tuesday, 5/21, I was told the approval request would be sent to my insurance company (Cigna) on Wednesday. I called the office on Friday, 5/24 to see if they had received approval yet, I was told they were still waiting for a response from the insurance company. Monday was a holiday, so I called back Tuesday, 5/28 in the morning, was told once again that they were waiting for a response from the insurance company. On Wednesday, 5/29 I called my insurance company and the representative I spoke with stated that Gladys from Regional Ortho called on Friday and was told she had to provide the doctors dictation notes before approval could be given. I called Regional Ortho this morning, 5/30 & asked two very reasonable questions, in my opinion. 1. If they knew Cigna requires dictation notes for MRI approvals, why wasn't it provided when the initial approval request was submitted? 2. Why were they told Friday, 5/24 by Cigna that they were needed and it's now Thursday, 5/30 and the dictation notes haven't been provided? The woman I spoke with had no answers and quickly transferred me to another department where the phone didn't even ring, it went right to voicemail.

I hated that their phone kept ringing during my appointment. I wish they had silenced their cell phone because it was really annoying. Whenever I called with a question or concern, the staff made me feel stupid for calling. I avoided calling because I didn't want to feel stupid. They are always polite and never use foul language, which I really appreciate. It's always made me uncomfortable at other places when I've heard them use foul language, but they don't here. I know I can bring my kids, and not worry about it. They didn't pressure me to buy anything I didn't need, which I really appreciated. I've been to other places that pressured me to buy stuff and it always made me very uneasy. There definitely appears to be a trend of overbooking clients here. The wait has gotten longer and longer from when I first started seeing them. Doctor Mark Kahn is absolutely wonderful I will hate to see him retire, Carla is absolutely wonderful..as is Dr. Kalliny (excuse my spelling) however the office staff leaves a lot to be desired... some of the woman are highly professional while others do nothing and act as if they do nothing. One complaint I do have is this: Two nurses that I have spoken to have been out right rude. What I didn't understand was this. I had been hurt badly required surgery which I received... then I called because my doctor was away on vacation and I needed a refill of my prescription, I was told because my doctor was away I needed PAIN Management I didn't mind at first however.....when I was injured a second time very badly I called because of my medication and was told that I am now a patient of PAIN MANAGEMENT and NOT my doctor. In other words if I need a prescription my Doctor is not able to write it. Sounds like I was pushed into something that I didn't want to be involved in. Don't get me wrong I am seeing some wonderful doctors, However they are NOT my surgeons!! IF I need medication regardless of what their protocol is I will see to it that I get it. I also spoke to a nurse and was told " you will have pain" " don't expect to not have pain" who did she think she was speaking too" I have medical professionals in my family and it's my understanding after an injury that I should be treated as such. I had been on medication due to the rehab I was getting and in turn injured another part of my body which the MRI says is a very bad injury... the nurse said " what do you expect" well I expect professionalism not some crappy comment like that. I will discuss this with my doctor when I see them this week. I feel that is very unprofessional.

Dr. Gleimer is a wonderful young man. Unfortunately his office is just the opposite. The office and I mean his office and the girs in his associate dr Kallinys office are the worst I have seen. I have never seen such unprofessional behavior in a doctors office before. They are incredibly rude. They rarely return phone calls. Thier general attitude is unbelieveably poor.It is ad that the doctors in these offices don't see this. I woud assume the doctors on't know how ba these women are. The office help certainly bring down the overall level of care one gets there. When trying to get a prescription refilled, they treat one like a street addict rather than someone in severe pain. The staff sit around laughing and joking while patients are siting in the waiting rooms in pain. Absolutely the worst doctors office I have ever been in.
