Worst dentist office I have ever been to
My husband and I selected this dentist office since it was close to home plus had evening and Saturday hours. The first time I went there, everything this was great. The appointment was on time and the dental hygienist was very nice and did a good job. I saw Dr. Molinaro and he was very nice with the exception of trying to push me to buy Invisalign. My husband went to his first appointment and saw Dr. Johns and everything was fine. After that, it was all downhill and nothing but problems.
The second time I went I had a different hygienist who seemed to enjoy torturing me. She sawed on my gums with the floss as hard as she could. She mentioned she surprised that my gums hadn’t started bleeding yet, as most people do by now. I’ve never been to a dentist’s office that actively tried to injure people and make them bleed.
I made my next appointment time for 5:30pm so I would not have to leave work early. I received a postcard in the mail that had 5:30 written on it. However, I received a reminder call for my appointment at 5pm. I called back and said my appointment was for 5:30. The woman on the phone said in a nasty voice ”Well it’s in our computer for 5pm. YOU must have called and changed it from 5 to 5:30. Can you make 5 or do you want to re-schedule?” I assure you that I never called to change the appointment and why would she be so nasty with me? Obviously, when they put the appointment in the computer they just put it in the wrong time slot. The proper response would have been to apologize for the error and offer to reschedule, if I couldn’t make. There is no need to get nasty since everyone makes mistakes. Tthe appointment time wasn’t a huge deal as my boss allowed me to leave early. The big deal was the woman’s nasty attitude and her need to blame me for their error.
My husband had bad experiences with his appointments as well. He attempted to go to his Saturday appointment, only to find the office closed. When he called the office on Monday he was rudely told that he was called about the closing. (must have been bad for him to think it was “rude”) He didn’t have any missed calls and there was certainly no voicemail. Again, why be nasty? It’s just awful to treat people so poorly who you are supposed to be helping. He didn’t want to go back solely because of the nasty receptionist.
I only had cleanings performed at the office, my husband had a bit more work done. He got a filling from Dr. Johns which unfortunately fell out and had to be replaced. (New fillings that fall out are probably the result of improper cavity preparation, contamination of the preparation area prior to placement of the restoration). Dr. John’s also stated he needed a crown and received a temporary one. When it was removed, “the lady just twisted and yanked it out pretty harshly. Felt like it was revenge pain or something..” he said. The work done was shoddy and had to be touched up by another dentist later.
This past May 2013 I went to Dr. Molinaro’s office to pick up the X-rays for the new dentist as you can only tolerate so much poor treatment. My husband had called to let them know I would be coming. Upon arrival, my x-rays were ready but my husbands were not. The woman at the front desk went in search of his records. Twenty minutes of waiting and she was able to print out the x-rays. I asked, specifically if these were ALL the x-rays since I had two sets for myself and one set for him. She said those were his bite wings and they had not done any other x-rays.
The new dentist took “full set” x-rays as Molinaro’s office claimed to have not done them. When the insurance company was billed the claim was denied. They said Molinaro’s office had billed my insurance for these same x-rays in June 2011. The insurance company wouldn’t pay as you can only have these done every three years. I called Molinaro’s office on 11/12/13 and requested they reverse the bill and pay back the insurance company for these non-existent x-rays. The women claimed the service was performed and would not reverse the charges. It was, again, my fault for not having called the insurance company to make sure the dental x-rays were covered at my new dentist before they were taken.
I don’t know if they are lying about taking the x-rays in the first place and committing insurance fraud or if they did take the x-rays and lost them. Either way, I don’t have the x-rays they “supposedly took” as they would not produce them for me.
Now I am stuck with an $80 bill from the new dentist for x-rays that were needed. If they had any type of integrity they would pick up the tab for all their nastiness and screw ups. I requested and it was declined and was told “We’re not liable. You should have called your insurance to make sure they were x-rays covered first”.
I hope people avoid this dentist so they go out of business. This place truly is the worst. I really can’t stress that enough.

I really admire them for being more than willing to ask for help from other professionals in the field when they don't have an answer to my question. They aren't even slightly arrogant, and I'm confident they always have my best interest at heart. I don't think I have ever been put on hold here for a long time and am so impressed with how quickly all of my questions are answered. There's nothing worse than having to wait on hold for a half an hour just to get someone to talk to you. I was in awe at the level of service I received. They completely surpassed all my expectations and I will absolutely be going back. The staff is friendly, efficent and always interested in my well being.
I cannot say enough about the group of professionals
