I spend a little too much time in the waiting room. I've waited longer at other offices, but I was hoping to be seen sooner. My first implant was installed at an angle so that the upper teeth are not hitting the implant from directly above. I was never shown the X-ray until years later by another dentist. This dentist now indicated that this implant is doomed to failure since it is being struck from above at an angle. Kind of like hitting a bent nail. It can only get worse.
I had no idea of this situation when I went in for an 2nd implant. Melrose Oral surgeons are a participation member of Delta Dental and as such were supposed to just charge me my co-pay, which was 50% of the cost. But they charged me the entire cost up front, all $2500. That was in May of 2011 and after repeated phone calls they still have not processed my claim completely. In addition they told me I would have to deal with Delta Dental directly for my re-imbursement of the co-pay....But when I spoke to Delta Dental, they told me the refund of my co-pay would go to Melrose Oral surgery and THEY would write me a check for my co-pay. Haven't seen a penny yet and its been 7 months. My next step is to contact Delta Dental's commpaint department and take Melrose Oral to court.

No. It took me several times to get through.

All the time! the waiting rooms are always packed and It seems as if they are more concerned about quantity over quality
