I visited Dr. Sims and his nurse practitioner for a hearing loss. I am under 40, so for me to have experienced this amount of hearing loss is alarming. My first visit I saw the nurse practitioner. She said that she saw a "significant amount of hearing loss" in my right ear and gave me steroids and told me to come back in 2 weeks to see Dr. Sims. When I went in for my second visit, she asked if I had any changes, I said the steriods made me really sick and I have had a bad headache every day for a week. She told me to go buy some Claritin. When Dr. Sims came in, he looked at my hearing test results and said "Your ears are normal and I'm not going to do anything for you, come back in a year." His NP was in the room with us and I addressed her, "but you said I had a 30% hearing loss" to which she looked sheepish and he replied, "your hearing is normal" and I replied, "BUT I CAN'T HEAR." and he said, "Do you have kids?" and I said "Yes." and he ACTUALLY said to me, "Sometimes busy moms just don't listen because they are busy doing too many things at once." I said, "You are kidding me, right?" and he said, "Well busy Moms just don't process information the same way." I got up and left. I should demand a refund for his wasting of my time.

I have never been more frustrated or disappointed in a doctor.My 7yr old son was referred to see Dr.Sims for Strep Throat that he has had for the past 3 months and has not been able to get rid of.The nurse came in took all of our info down and said Dr.Sims would be in shortly.After 25 min.of waiting the nurse came back in and said that Dr.Sims looked over my sons chart and he did not think anything was wrong with him and therefore was not going to examine him.Dr.Sims NEVER came into the room to talk to me or even look at my son.As I was leaving the exam room,I found Dr.Sims at the desk on his computer.I ask him Why and he said that he was to busy..I DO NOT recommend this doctor and I hope he does not treat another child like he did mine.
