I went to Alpha Dental under the Ryan White program. My case manager told me to call for a appointment. I called and left messages for a week and a half. When I did get someone they told me I would have to talk to Crsti,the Ryan White person. I left a message. A week later she called me back. She told me she would call me with a appointment time. I told her I was having trouble with a front tooth. This was the middle of January. In March I called and left a message. No return phone call. In April Cristi called me back and said she could see me in 10/15. I arrived on the date and they told me that my appointment was later that month. I arranged transportation AGAIN and arrived at the office. I was hurried back to a chair by Cristi. She was rude and didn't care that I had waited so long . She started cleaning my teeth and in about 15 mins she was done. I could have done a better job with a waterpik! I thought then they would look at my teeth a begin a treatment plan.Cristi told me that the cleaning is under Medicaid and Ryan White would have to pay for a exam. I asked her why I didnt have a appointment and she said I didn't make one! I told her I needed to see the dentist and please make a appointment. With attitude she said she would call me. She put me on a list she had scribbled on a notepad! I just saw the dentist a few days ago in November. She looked at my mouth and said a few things to the person in the room and walked out. I know I have Medicad and Ryan White but they treat people like 2nd class citizens.I really need work done but don't know if I can put up with the rudness. All we can hope for is that Dolphin Dental gets Ryan White back.
If you have a choice, go to Erwin Tech. Alpha Dental's Ryan White program is very unprofessional. I guess the people that gave them a good review got special work done by the dentist, And its funny a group of good reviews were posted on the same day...employees maybe..huh

They were able and willing to answer every question I had. I definitely felt informed. They made sure every single question I had was answered, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. They made sure that their qualifications were obvious. I was confident that I was under the care of a professional. I am going to refer everyone I know here. I absolutely love this place.

No, I had to leave I was so distressed

Absolutely not, the office was disgusting

Not at all, I feel like they're constantly ready to give up on me

Definitely, they had one person trying to do everything

Absolutely not. I even asked for an explanation and was ignored

I was admitted to this dentist under the Ryan White program and Florida Medicaid. The RW program had a waiting list so it took some time to get in. When I had my first appointment I got x-rays and a treatment plan, I was treated with respect. In no way did I feel treated as underclass. The rooms are small and close together but overall they are very clean and private. I have referred this dentist to my family...that should say enough. Although, I must admit...if you do not have insurance you can find cheaper rates. My family does not have insurance nor Medicaid and the prices would not allow them to become a patient. We found Erwin Technical Center to provide the financial relief we needed.

The office staff NEVER answers their phone nor do they EVER return phone calls marked urgent due to emergency conditions. This is HIGHLY irresponsible and unprofessional.
