The Chams medical group is absolutely wonderful. Her father was my OBGYN for MANY years and Dr Joyce joined the practice after graduation. She is very caring, thorough and a joy to visit (and how many people feel that way about having a pap smear) :-)

Dr. Joyce Chams is worth her weight in gold. She is intelligent, personable, patient, responsive to patient questions, concerns, and follow-up and her bedside manner is impeccable. She is forward-thinking and able to explain and communicate rule out diagnostic concerns as well as preventative treatment strategies in "lay" language. She incorporates family support into patient care and is respectful of cultural and lifestyle differences among patients. She takes time during patient consults despite being a provider who is in high-demand and a high volume practitioner. She is a gem, and we consider her part of our family as all of the women in our family are on her caseload.

Dr. Joyce Chams has been my doctor for many, many years. I just love her. As my daughter became a teenager, I introduced her to Dr. Joyce. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful doctor that I would feel comfortable if my daughter needed someone to give her advise (and she does not want to come to her mother), she can always go to Dr. Joyce Chams. I would recommend Dr. Joyce Chams to anyone who wants a warm, caring and knowledgeable doctor.

One thing I don't like, is that I can't be confident that they'll work with me until they find the best solution for me. I'm always worried they're going to just settle with a solution that works. This provider has no helpful information available online, apart from their address and phone number. They just have a basic listings page. Every time I'd ask a question, it seemed like they were annoyed and didn't want to give me an answer. I understand they're busy, but they should really treat their clients better. I am not going to refer my family and friends here. I just wasn't that impressed. I went in trying to get an IUD, and Dr. Chams wouldn't hear it, she told me since I am young I shouldn't get one. I went to another doctor and was told I was a perfect candidate. I feel as if she has her preferred routines and won't listen to anything new. She also rushes appointments, so I never have a chance to ask the questions I need. If you are a young women and are unsure of what you want regarding contraceptives, I would advise you to stay clear of Dr. Chams.
