My first experience with this office was wonderful! I had scheduled my appointment through a website that the doctor no longer used, so when I showed up for my appointment, I was basically a walk in. They fit me in immediately! I was amazed. I loved Dr. Joyner and his team. Since then, however, my birth control was allowed to expire in April, due to a refill request not being given to my pharmacy. My pharmacy was told by the service this was not an emergency, even though it was a Friday and I would be without pills for three days. On the following Moday, I attempted five times to reach the office and kept getting the service. At 4 PM, because I knew the office was near to closing, I called my husband and had him drive to their office to request they call me. They were still reluctant to do it! Now, I have tried for the last 6 business days to reach their office, only to get the messaging service everytime. Seriously, hire a receptionist! So frustrated I am looking for a new doctor, even though I love Dr. Joyner and planned to stay with him as long as he was still practicing, and i am not alone...the girl who referred me already has a new OB/GYN, even though she was with Dr. Joyner for 15 years. SO disappointed.

I started as a patient of Dr. Joyner's about 20 years ago, when he was referred by another doctor's wife. It was going to be years before I had a child, but after a couple of visits I had no doubt that this was the doctor I wanted to have when the time came. I've been impressed by and comfortable with Dr. Joyner since the beginning. And like me, many of his patients have gone to him before, during, and after they had children. When you meet with him, he tells (educates) you about what's going on with your body in a way that makes sense, including the "why's". Nervous or uncomfortable about talking to a doctor or asking questions? Chances are, Dr. Joyner will answer your question before you ask it. Sometimes the wait at the office is long (so take a good book), but you'll be well taken care of.
