I sincerely believe that Dr. Thompson has allowed to drug companies to influence her medical opinion. I was very young when I had my first appointment and she took no time to discuss birth control options with me. She pushed Yaz and Gardasil on me without offering any other alternatives. I refused Gardasil thank goodness, but took Yaz for a year because I didn't know any better. After a year on Yaz, I asked Dr. Thompson if I could switch to a generic birth control after speaking with some of my girlfriends. She asked me why I wanted to switch and seemed irritated because of my request. I told her flat out that it was making me crazy and cost $50 a month. I had friends that were taking generic birth control for a lot less money. Both of these drugs that she pushed on me have been highly controversial with a variety of adverse side effects. I am very disappointed with her care. It seems obvious to me that her allegiance is with the drug companies and their kickbacks and not with her patients.

You could not find a better GYN doctor than Dr. Maureen Thompson. During my appointments she goes over my entire health history during the year. She makes suggestions on solutions to any problems I am having. She is always interested in my family. Dr Thompson and her nurse, Jackie, have always treated me with respect and are always friendly. This is a great Doctor!!!

If you want to feel like you're getting a Pap smear in your grandmothers outdated kitchen, by one of your grandmothers crotchety friends - then by all means, this is the place for you. Dr. Thompson loves to hear herself speak, and it's hard to get a word in edge wise. She seems almost offended if you try. The whole clinic is full of horribly outdated signage that is no doubt 30 years old. The man at the front desk is condescension personified. He's the kind of gloomy person who can ruin your day in 20 seconds. I really cannot say enough bad things about Mid Bay Women's Clinic. Good luck to those who do not heed this warning.

The office staff (a gentleman) is the rudest person I have ever met. He hung up the phone on me when he called to remind me that I had an appointment (which was in another 2 days). I told him that I was going to have to cancel it. After he hung up the phone I called back and asked if he really had just hung up on me. He then responded (in the most unprofessional tone and manner) that I was the rude one not giving them enough notice and that they had "bent over backwards to fit me me" I had actually called 4 weeks earlier and that was the newest "new patient" appointment they had. Not sure what bending over backwards is. I then proceeded to tell him that I would make sure that I shared with my friends not to use this provided because of his rude behavior in which he snapped back..."i'll make sure to tell people about you too." ...So, I would never, ever step foot into this office nor would I recommend anyone to see someone who treats patients, or potential patients in such an unprofessional manner.

I have never in my life been treated so rude by the front desk. I cannot believe the way I was spoken to. I was trying to make an appt. and was excited because this clinic in near where I live.

After being "beat up" I asked if I could please just talk to the Doctor and was told absolutely not. After this I will not mind driving anywhere but here.
