I think he probably needs to retire. He's very knowledgeable, but has horrible bedside manner. At my birth he was extremely rude to the nurses at the hospital (who were great to me by the way) and did very little to communicate with me. After waiting at least 30-60 minutes for each prenatal appointment, he would barely spend 5 minutes with my husband and I. I have the feeling that at some point he was probably very passionate about his work, but those days are not today. His staff is fantastic and made the appointments worthwhile.

My questions were answered. Their staff was friendly enough, but they didn't go out of their way to help me. I was satisfied with my visit. They were helpful and I left feeling encouraged. I especially like the way Dr. Cole took the time to illustrate for me the issues we were discussing and showed me diagrams to help me understand the condition better. He was the most helpful person in the office. The rest of the staff was professional but there were no "warm-fuzzies" to speak of .

My wife and I live in Santa Barbara and were promised a midwife delivery in Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura.

Instead my wife got stripped membranes to induce labor without Terry Cole asking if we wanted this procedure. http://voices.yahoo.com/stripping-membranes-induce-labor-5533835.html

Labor started and we learned that one midwife was unavailable and the other was on vacation. So no midwife...On our delivery night got a grouchy Terry Cole who seemed like he could not be bothered and could not wait to get the delivery done and get back to his dinner party...

He was very demanding of the hospital staff and my wife.

He Shut down our Doula and ignored the birth plan we had in place.

After our daughter was delivered Terry Cole put traction on the umbilical cord immediately rather than wait for the second delivery of the placenta... Dr. Cole seemed angry about the bleeding he had caused

The bleeding was stopped and our daughter is healthy.
