Dr. Stanciu is very spot on with her methods of diagnosing, and treating eye conditions. She did a excellent job treating my mothers cataracts, and now she's using her glasses, a lot less than before. My family and I feel very confident with her. Her professionalism and interest in our concerns, really reassured us that we were getting the best care from one of the best around. I personally would recommend her hands down, due to her vast knowledge and great staff.

For my 50th birthday I tried Botox for the 1st time. And I learned THEN, that not all doctor’s suggestions are from the heart. I landed in one of those Botox mills running in town where the doctor will inject Botox when you don’t need it and/or try and sale you on other products. I will not mention names – but it worried me.

However, when I met Dr. Alina Stanciu I knew I was in good hands when she performed Botox a year ago. But I had other facial imperfections that needed addressing. I was bitten by a dog in the mid 80’s and a half inch scar near my lip which has ALWAYS bothered me and I felt it attracted attention to my other facial imperfections, like my off-balanced lips. Dr. Stanciu discussed several options, their side effects and recovery time and my wiped away my concerns. NOW I am kicking myself for not doing it sooner. She took all the proper measures and customized several procedures using Belotero Balance Gel. She told me what to expect; minimal pain, some tenderness, swelling, redness and slight bruising. And she was right. She also gave me a list of what to do and what not to do
.
So here’s the bottom line. Dr. Stanciu has the knowledge and expertise in her field. She is all about making sure the patient receives the results they want and never appearing overdone. She answered all my questions, spent time with me, never made me feel rushed, and her staff is friendly and they work as a team. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Stanciu to my friends and family. My results have been absolutely great. She is now and forever my “go to” doctor in helping me retain my youthful glow.

Horrible, unprofessional. I will never return. She had patients waiting in her office for THREE hours and her staff had no idea where she was or when she was returning. I've never experienced anything like that in my life. She rushed through my appointment and shoved my file at me when she was done as if I was an employee. My first appointment she was on the phone with a pharmacy while I was in the waiting room and she was screaming at the poor person on the other line. It was extremely inappropriate for patients to be subjected to that - why not go into your office, close the door, and berate someone? Go somewhere else.

I am a patient of Dr Staciu for many years. She did my periodic check ups and she operated my cataracts on my both eyes. She showed utmost care and answered all my questions.

I went to see Dr Stanciu because my daughter hot really sick and from the virus she had she also developed something like a pink eye. Her eyes were red on the outside for a few days with some discharge coming out. Dr Stanciu was incredibly nice and took us in right away. She looked at my daughters eyes and she prescribed an ointment for her eyes that reallyyyy helped. I saw results within the first 5 minutes. Her redness went down and my daughter stopped scratching her eyes and felt relieved!!! Dr stanciu is great and I would definitely recommend her to both adults and kids as well!

Waited for almost 3 hours in a tiny waiting room for a 5 min eye exam. They also ended billing the wrong insurance which has been a nightmare. Staff is not helpful and even rude when I have called to sort out the billing issue. Definately not going back.

Horrible unprofessional staff!! Waiting time is more than 5 hours! The waiting area stinks and it is so small, they over book people. They don't care about patients. They had my mother waiting over 5 hours, she couldn't take it anymore and left. Do not recommend this place stay away!!!! I wouldn't even give them one star but had to leave one star just to be able to give a review of this horrible place!

She was absolutely unprofessional. I don't think she knows what she's doing; if she does know what she's doing, she does a terrible job at conveying that to her patients.

I came in for an initial visit for a routine eye exam. I haven't had one in years and I know I need them because I wear glasses and have astigmatism. I also wanted to inquire about a tearing problem; I had blocked tear ducts as a small child and have recently experienced excessive tearing. I was also looking into contact lenses.

After waiting for over an hour, I was called back. She thought I was someone else.

"I've never been here before."
"Oh. Really?"
"No."
"You look familiar."

Immediately, she began talk of contacts. I didn't even receive a prescription yet, did not even have a legitimate exam from her, hardly even spoke to her and had a bunch of other things I wanted to discuss before contacts. I actually had to slow her down. She examined me for maybe two minutes following.

She started talking about contacts again. She put one in my eye.
"Does that feel good?"
"It's okay."
"It's a fit. Try those for a week." (No mention of what kind of contacts they were, nothing).
"Last time I had contacts, it took them a very long time to find ones that fit my eyes because I have very large eyes."
"Yes, you'll be a difficult fit. Contacts might not be right."
"Why?"
"Because you said your eyes tear. And you have big eyes."
"But you said these fit. Do they fit?"
"Do they feel good?"
"Do they FIT?"
"Yes, yes, they fit."

With one contact in my eye, I asked again about my tear ducts.
"I don't deal with tear ducts," she said. "We don't do that. You need to go to a specialist."
"You're an ophthalmologist. Ophthalmologists don't deal with tear ducts?"
"Well. Here." She looked at my eye. "Yep, you have a tear. Someone did something. See, we can diagnose but--you want a referral?"

She asked me if I wanted to put the second one in. I said yes, and wante d to wash my hands first.
"I'll just do it," she said, and put them in without washing her hands.

She mumbled a lot, yelled into the hallway, asked me if they fit again and then mumbled again.
"Am I done?" I asked.
"Uh huh, yeah."
"What do I do abotu these in my eyes? Do you have a lens case, solution, how long do I keep these in, how much are they..."
"You're asking me questions I don't have the answers to," she said.

So I left. The front desk asked me to make a follow up appointment.
"No, I'm not coming back. That was a terrible experience."

I took the contacts out of my eyes and left.

It was unbelievable. I've never been treated that way by any professional, let alone a doctor.
