Dr. Stern was the most non comforting OBGYN doctor ever. I made an appt with her hoping to find an OB that would be able to help me with my extreme difficulty having a papsmear done. I have never been able to have one done because every physician I see doesn't listen to me when I say I'm in a lot of pain from the speculum, I am very sensitive Dr. Stern along with the others just try to rush and shove a QTip up there or try and pry my parts open. I hate that this doctor treated me like just another vagina and not a human being. When I started crying and pushing the speculum away bc it hurt so bad she slammed it in the sink and got frustrated. She said maybe have a glass of wine next time you're too worked up. I'm so sick of Doctors thinking they know everything bc they've been in their profession for so long. You should be ashamed and have some skills on how to make this INVASIVE exam as comfortable as possible if you see someone panicking and crying! She joked saying does she need to give me a tranquilizer. I seriously asked her if she could prescribe something to help me relax but she insisted I needed to calm down.

Dr. Stern is knowledge. She definitely knows what what she's doing. However there are pros and cons. She delivered my first child and will be delivering my second child in a few weeks.
The first time I love that she was very informative, and provided my with all the necessary information I need. She told me what to expect at every visit and every step of the pregrancy, we sat in her office to discuss any of my concerns, and answered my questions. Provided me with parenting magazine monthly.
During the delivery: she showed up when my baby's heading was showing and then began guiding me however she was not there for the rest of the time while I pushed. A med student and nurse was there.

Now for the second time around: I was not as happy. All my visits were in and out. Sometime I would wait for 30-40 mins t see her for 6 mins. We didn't go back to her office after being in the roaming room. She would say see you in a month. She also didn't tell me what to expect this time or talked to me about anything really the second time. My checkups were based on baby's heart sounds great, weigh is fine, blood pressure is good, see you next month.

Also I'm in my 3rd trimester and has not got a weight on my 2nd child child as compared to the first time I got a weight very early on.

The second time just seemed like business and interpersonal. I didn't enjoy the experience the second time.

Tubal ligation: she will give you a hard time about it. She does not like to do it for anyone who what's to stop at 2 child. She's very stern about and says I will not do it. " I've seen too many mistakes".

I love this office. The Doctor is extremely thorough and caring, addresses all my needs, and has the most updated treatment advice. The office staff is also caring, professional and efficient. The waiting is not fancy, but large comfortable, and has plenty of seating and reading materials if there is a wait. There is also a nice coat closet, and toys for the kiddies, which makes the waiting area feel very homelike.
