Honest, knowledgeable, helpful, understands the complexity involved, down to earth. Helped me learn about addiction and eased my mind.

Klos saved my life and those of a lot of folks I knew with chronic pain. And because he was good at what he did, he got raided a lot. No discrepancies found and he was amazing at sniffing out and firing addicts and dealers. I see he still is. I have been living in Mexico for going on 6 years now and I love my life. I would have committed suicide if it weren't for Martin Klos. What I owe and others is beyond mere gratitude. i am now taking maybe a whole 3-grain codeine a day (I know...what an addict!) for colon spasm problems mostly. Back when I was ready to shoot myself in the head over pain, I went to the Talbot Institute in Atlanta for addictionology and they put me on morphine within about 16 hours. Problem was going back to Oregon and finding even one doc who understood crapola about pain management. Docs usually thought I was drug.seeking. Well, yeah! If cat pee would do the job, there would not have been a safe cat within a mile! Klos trusted me and knew that tolerances vary. Every other doc treated me like crap and told me what they would prescribe...and no more. Klos put me on a high dosage, because I needed that. I and not him decided to cut my dose in half and then got off without his cutting me down because I could. And he got such a shi**storm of grief over doing what was right for us chronic pain folks. And nothing was ever found because he would cut off 'users' in a heartbeat. Those folks in chronic pain need more pain experts like him. Lucky if you get to see him and he takes you on. Truly great and knowledgeable doc.

Dr. Kloss treated me for a long term health/pain issue. He was always professional, while maintaining a level of compassion and understanding. I had to take urine test and pill counts on every visit. I was always treated by every person in his office with professional behavior and courtesy. I was also required to take EKG tests at the hospital and provide the Dr. with current bold tests. I never felt like Dr. Kloss did anything that any other pain specialist should do. I would go back to him in a heart beat, if needed. I'm great full there was a Dr. Kloss during my darkest days of pain.

His nurses have no clue what they are doing, they are just random girls that have no medical background. You can ask them a simple question " like when they take my blood pressure if I ask am I high, low, or just right" they all say I'm not sure that's something you'll have to ask doc. One of the nurses is dating his son and is the rudest girl I think I have ever met. Some days during the week he also does addiction treatment in the office and sometimes I felt like he forgot I was a pain patient and not a addiction treatment patient. Anytime I would call with a question or concern it would take a long time to get a response "sometimes days". During my visit he would complain how bad business is and how broke he was, as if that's any of my business or why I'm there. In the last year and a half I honestly could count on one hand the amount of time he even looked at my injury or even asked about it. There were times he would talk about his sex life. When I asked about testosterone treatment due to my meds lowering my testosterone he made the comment that his main concern is that I keep my wife happy sexually. I could go on for days about things that have been a concern to me and my wife. I felt like he is the type of dr that has no concern about your well being and just over prescribes pills. His office is located in a small run down shopping center in Springfield it's so small, and dirty. I hope this keeps some of you from seeking medical help from him and get it elsewhere. My primary dr actually said if I see him as my pain dr that she would no longer see me as a patient. She has been my my whole life. The only reason she gave in was cause I seen him the next day and she couldn't get in anywhere else so quick. I wish I would of listened.
