Michael Segal, DO, is a vascular surgeon atNewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and Associate Professor ofSurgery at Weill Cornell Medicine. His practice includes thefull spectrum of vascular disease, including treatment associated withdialysis access, carotid and aortic pathologies as well as peripheral arterialdisease (PAD), through the use of endovascular and open surgicaltechniques. He has an interest in utilizing emerging and advancedendovascular approaches to treat patients and ensure they are receiving toplevel care. After graduating from theUniversity of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC, Dr.Segal earned his medical degree at New York College of OsteopathicMedicine, NY. He completed the general surgery residency at Wyckoff HeightsMedical Center in Brooklyn, followed by the vascular surgery fellowshipat Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey. Having been bornand raised in New York and completing his training in the area, he isintimately familiar with the patients and care in the area. Dr.Segal has been involved in clinical research within thefield of vascular surgery. He has authored in peer-reviewed journals,written 2 book chapters as well as presenting at regionalmedical conferences. He is a member of the American College ofSurgeons and the Society for Vascular Surgery.
