Terrible customer service - ripped off for over $380.

I purchased a gift certificate for a spa treatment to give my wife for her birthday. I found out she wasn't going to be able to use it when we had planned, and contacted Velvet Skin less than 48 hours after making the purchase to request a refund. I was denied by a clerk, the store manager and the business owner. They offered me store credit, which is worthless as we the gift was for her and a friend while her friend was in for the holidays. We have no use for store credit, whatsoever. If you buy a gift at any store in America, as long as you provide proof of purchase you can usually get your money back. I explained this to Velvet Skin, who replied with "You can't get money back from gift cards anywhere." That's because gift cards are for more than one product - Walmart offers millions of options to use your gift card on. We bought a gift certificate for a specific type of service from a locally owned spa - not a major US retailer.

You can take your chances, but don't expect any sympathy if something goes wrong.

The BBB has been contacted about this issue, and is researching the case.

THE PREVIOS REVIEW WAS A TOTAL LIE THIS SPA ISNT EVEN OPEN FOR BUSINESS YET NOT HAS IT HAD ITS FIRST CUSTOMER SO HOW IS THERE A 5 STAR REVIEW ON A UNOPENED PLACE --OBVIOUSLY A SCAMMING BUSINESS Getting a convenient appointment time with them is impossible. SINE THEY CHANGE THEY GRAND OPENING EVERY TIME THE WIND BLOWS
