First impressions make an impact! I accompanied my 70 yo mother to this clinic today for the first time and was shocked by the poor customer service. Her cat has been ill so I was with her today when she called them to make an appointment. She made the call on speaker phone so I heard the interaction. They told her specifically to come in at 2:45pm. We did arrive 15 minutes early. She called to let them know she was there. The receptionist started scolding her. Saying “No, no no, I told you 3:00” her tone was very frustrated and it bothered me to hear her interact with my mother this way, a customer they have had for many years. I let this go but then was even more astounded by the behavior of the veterinarian. As soon as she entered the room she didn’t even address my mom with hello or any kind of greeting. There was no bedside manner at all. She didn’t say anything even close to (Hey sorry your cat is still ill. Tell me what’s going on?) She just looked at her clip board and basically said she wasn’t sure why we brought the cat in since they can’t manage it over the weekend. She seemed exasperated. I felt like all of the staff were so dismissive of my mom and her concern for her cat. I’m not even upset that they couldn’t care for her cat’s illness over the weekend . The lack of customer service or empathy is really what stood out to me. Mom is such a loyal customer and will just accept bad treatment. It was so hurtful to me to see her treated like that.
