Where do I begin? First off, I was hospitalized for CHF and miraculously after 3 weeks and 2 hospital stays (emergency/ICU/rehab), I was well enough to be discharged. Just a coincidence my plan stopped paying after 21 days. Anyhow, I was prescribed a ventilator and oxygen. Remember, I’ve been in a hospital got 3 weeks and the oxygen technician met me at my home with the O2 generator literally as I was coming home on the chair-car.

He was all “salesmanny” and made a few comments sbout some offensive smells of food that spoiled was away. Fit lack of a better name, I’ll call him “Bob” because Bob plays into this again.

Over time, but be applied for hardship waiver and approved. The waiver lasts for 6 months. After the first 2 waivers, my subsequent applications get lost, are filled put wrong, are late. This last one I didn’t get informed of status.

More recent, my doctor prescribed portable oxygen bottles. She sent the prescription in the day of my visit. After not hearing from Apria, the doctor contacted them and an appt was set up for a day recently, the window for GND appointment was from “2 to midnight” ? Apparently, what am I going to do...drag my electric oxy generator around on a 500 foot extension cord? The day of appt came and went with no acknowledgement that I even had an appt or the consideration of when they’d come out. I believe that person to be “Bob”

Now I have my own ideas about this. More items added to my account and maybe they’re hoping I’ll just go away . I have open enrollment until May 21 and I have no problem changing my insurance company to someone that will not handshake actions like this and find another provider that will respect the patient especially now.
