I came to this Physician (M. Blair Marshall, MD) for a long standing Lesion under the Intracostal Right Rib Cage that has been going on unresolved since 1981. It has caused me intense pressure as well as not being able to Work and based upon this criteria, this Physician denied removing it. It would be best to avoid going to this Physician entirely. I am the customer & think I can get what I want because I'm paying the invoice.

Dr. Marshall is an extraordinarily talented surgeon who performed a very challenging and high risk procedure to remove a malignant tumor from my lower esophagus after I had been turned down as too high risk by another experienced and highly respected surgeon. My personal physician, two oncologists involved in my care, and a retired surgeon whom I know personally, were of the unanimous opinion that the tumor would prove fatal if not surgically removed. The procedure was not without problems and it took nine or ten hours to resolve them all and successfully complete the surgery using minimally invasive techniques. I was out of bed and walking the next day and was discharged five days after the procedure. Such a rapid recovery is not unprecedented, but it is faster than average, and should not be counted on by others contemplating this procedure. What can be counted on is a world class surgeon who is highly skilled and very experienced in this type of surgery.
