I've had a friend in Heritage Place since 2009 following a stroke. The staff is very friendly and most seem to make every effort to accommodate our needs as quickly as possible. As with any facility, there is staff turn over, some staff who aren't as good of caregivers as others and some requests aren't met as we'd like. There are many staff members who have been there the whole time we have, though. They know our names and greet us with hugs upon arrival. They treat my friend with respect and as family. He is easy to care for so I don't know how it goes with others who are more difficult but I haven't seen anything alarming or uncaring towards anyone. It is an older facility but the people make it a loving one. The director of activities is a fabulous lady as are many of the nurses and aids. I see efforts made recently to improve the facility. I would recommend it be considered and evaluated by anyone searching for a skilled nursing facility in the Mesquite area. It gives a personal touch that we appreciate.

I wish they had a few more staff members on hand. They weren't severely understaffed but it was obvious they could've used more help. If you're looking for a dependable and trustworthy nursing home, look no further. I would recommend them to anyone I know. They were very sympathetic to my situation, and made me feel cared for. I knew that I could count on them at all times. I eventually found a spot after cruising around a little bit. I wish they had more convenient parking available.

No, they've never taken personal calls with me
