It was nice to see them treat their staff with so much respect. It was obvious that they had a good relationship with all of their staff members. One of the first things I noticed about this business was how many different areas of the building were handicap-accessible. I have been to other places where I couldn't tell how someone in a wheelchair could even enter, but they really spent a lot of time to accommodate people with all different needs. They went out of their way to make me feel special and respected, and were very sympathetic to my situation. I've never seen more kindness and empathy anywhere else.

After spending 4 months there, I can honestly say that I was well taken care of. The physical and respitory therapists where terrific. They will push you to be the most independent person that you can be.
Both the nursing staff and the floor social worker did everything to make sure that the patients had a good quality of life. Along with the resident council, they worked to keep both the physical and moral spirits high. There were movie nights, bingo, painting, and outings to the local stores. And, much to my husbands' chagrin, I even learned to play poker there (that's an absolute necessity of life).
For those that want to be involved with religous studies, the chaplin does provide bible studies, sing alongs, and church services.

Yes! They took a personal call right in front of me. I found it to be incredibly rude.
