We have been seeing Dr. Maughan for about a year. We have never been seen on time. Always a minimum of 30 minutes wait time. His office staff is extremely rude. The blonde woman at the front desk is particularly rude. She never greet us when we come in. She never smiles. The worst experience was today. Our appointment was at 3:00. We checked in at 2:56. At 3:50 we were still sitting in the exam room. I went to the front desk and asked what time our appointment was....they confirmed it was at 3:00. I said that we had been waiting for almost an hour. Zero interest or apologies. I went back to the exam room to get my children. Went back to the desk and said we were leaving. Zero response, except to say that "he is running behind." Another office staff member listened in. Didn't try to fix the situation. In fact, the entire staff seemed completely disinterested that we were leaving...or that we had been there for an hour. I asked if we could call to get refills for my son's medication. I was told "No, it depends on how long it has been since his last appointment." Completely dumbfounded how this practice flourishes...except to say that, when the doctor finally makes it to the exam room, he is always funny. As far as I can tell, he is the only one with any personality in the entire office. Very disappointed that my time is not valuable to them. I will not be bringing my children back. Plenty of other dermatologists to choose from.
