In response to "unhappy's" post. We, as dentists, are not capable of providing a MEDICAL estimate for her child's procedure and her complaint lies with Security (her insurance company), the hospital and the anesthesia group as it their bills that she is upset about. We were very clear with regard to her dental insurance and wish her well with her complaint but have exhausted our resources in attempting to assist her with her concerns. We spent many hours writing numerous letters and making multiple phone calls on her behalf. It is unfortunate that she is using her energy to post negative reviews rather than address her insurance company and those that are billing her.

So, earlier this year, I found out my daugher needed some major work done with her teeth. Because she was very restless and didn't react well to the laugh gas First Impressions provided, they had asked me if I would be interested in putting my daughter under so the dentist can complete the work she needed. Me being a single-mom with one source of income knew that there would be some major medical and dental cost. So, those who know me, know that I am very thorough and I dont' just sign my name away to anyone especially a piece of legal document.

I was given a pre-estimate treatment from First Impressions informing me the total cost would be $2124.00 and my responsibility would be $515.34.

Months later after my daughter's procedure was done, I received an approximately $5,000 bill from two providers.

First Impressions denies any wrong doing. Um, my daughter's case was denied for coverage and I told them all along with a letter from my insurance company. So, what do their staff do? Took it upon themselves to get it approved. And their telling me I didn't follow instructions? Really? I did, down to the dot on the i and the cross on the T. DENIED. But, wait, they are so money hungry they lured me into this process feeling like I can trust them because they are so good at saying this but crappy in practicing. So I did trust them because they are the experts. But no, they have shown me they are only experts in manipulating parents like me.

The dentist writes a poor sobbing letter to the providers. Um, what's that going to do? Nothing but to say his wealthy self has done his obligation and have washed his hands clean.

I'm making every effort in my heart to never let anyone else be screwed like I did. If you want quality dental care for your kids, there are plenty of qaulified and caring dentist out there who have morals and values!

I'm never ever going back to First Impressions, ever with my children.
