My brother took my 81 year old mom to get her teeth cleaned at Dr,
Wards off and was told at that time that she had a tooth that needed to be pulled cause he could save it. And started talking about putting in a implant to replace the tooth he was told that she couldn't afford it, she made a apt to get tooth pulled at which time my brother who just drove cause she doesn't have transportation. The day of her appointment my brother was called on his cell phone at least 6 times when he was in PA cause he is a trucker. They wanted to make sure that she had payment in hand to pay for the implant up front. He called my sister and told her to call the office and find out what is going on. She took my mom to her appointment only to met as they came in the waiting room to find out if she had money in hand for the procedure.. My mom stated she had her debit or she could write a check to get tooth pulled. Once back in the office, my sister waited in waiting room and to her amazement she heard the doctor yelling that my mom had changed her mind on the implant and he had all the product ordered and cant use it the assistant and the dentist came out to front desk and was talking so loud the whole waiting room could hear him. Saying he didn't care of my brother was a long road trucker or not he wanted him on the phone which the assistant came out to my sister and told her that she knows my mom is confused and she is trying to get to the bottom of it.. MY MOM is not CONFUSED. and wanted my brothers phone # and my sister told her that they have the phone # and have been blowing it up all day. she said she didn't have chart and asked for it again. My sister gave her the # and to her amazement sat down next to her in the lobby and called. My moms finances were discussed with everyone listening in and the doctor made a total ass out of himself. My mom is on and very fixed low income and cant afford a 3000.00 tooth at 81 years old. It makes me sick to see the way she was treated by staff and doctor. My sister was not granted any privacy to talk this over it was all done in waiting room with everyone listening and the doctor yelling in background. How totally unprofessional of all of them shame on them. I wouldn't take my dead dog to this idiot let alone a family member. He is out for the money and that's it Shame on Dr, William Scott Ward for the unbelievable treatment of a Senior Citizen. I should only hope that you get the same treatment when you are old.

Beware of this dentist if you are seeking care for a senior citizen. They attempted to take complete and total advantage of my 81 year old mother. Doctor loudly complaining because she could not afford a very expensive dental implant, scheduled her and ordered material needed before she even consented or authorized the treatment and tried to blame it on my brother. My mother explained she could not afford it at at previous appointment but Dr went ahead and scheduled it anyway. Very rude treatment and discussed her financial difficulties in a busy waiting room. Dr loudly complaining where everyone in the waiting room could hear him. Very unprofessional.
