This review is based on my mother's experience with Dr. Zai, I would have liked for her to review it herself but partially due to Dr. Zai's horrible service she is no longer with us. My mother saw Dr. Zai, because of a recommendation she received from her primary doctor. My mother was having liver issues, which we came to find out was because she had cancerous tumors on her liver. Dr. Zai was extremely rude the 1st visit she had, he was very short with her, and was sucking on a lollipop the entire time. Dr. Zai had my mother go to the lab for some blood tests to see if a biopsy could be done on her liver. My mother had those tests done on a Friday. She called Dr. Zai's office on Wednesday to follow up since she had not heard from anyone. Dr. Zai neglected to return her call and left for vacation. At this time my mother received some of her blood test results back via her primary physician since Dr. Zai had gone MIA. At this time my mother's liver was still functioning. The next time my mother say Dr. Zai she was in the ICU a few weeks later in complete liver failure that had also caused her kidneys to fail. My family also had the joy of meeting Dr. Zai, who never said anything to our family and in fact left the room to go sit at a desk in the ICU when we call showed up. Dr. Zai's lack of follow through, empathy, compassion, and communication is unbelievable. Even after he came back from vacation he never bothered to return my mother's calls. Nor did he even try to extend his condolences to our family. While in the waiting room of the ICU I waved my had to get his attention to speak with him as he walked by, he looked me dead in the eye and continued walking. I would urge anyone to seek a different specialist. Even the nurses in the ICU commented about how he should no longer be practicing.

Every time I come here they always remember me by name and greet me as soon as I walk in the door, even if it's been years since my last appointment. I will absolutely return. They explained all the risks and benefits of my treatment options. Everything was explained in detail, all my questions were answered, and I felt a lot better about choosing a treatment plan.

Dr. Zai is my favorite "rear" Admiral!
