Aside from the fact that I seemed to have a relatively minor problem that could not be diagnosed, the provider harangues the patient with his political views. If I wanted to listen to Rush Limbaugh, I would turn on the radio. I now go somewhere else.

Truly an awful experience. I've had my own problems with them, but this particular experience happened while accompanying my boyfriend (we'll call him P).
P had just bought a brand new pair of glasses & lenses out of state, and needed a quick adjustment when we got back to VT, right before a trip he needed to take to Florida.
The gentleman (didn't catch his name, but I assume Dr. Lane) assured my boyfriend that he, for a small fee, could easily take care of the adjustment with a routine heating process to the plastic frames, and also assured him multiple times there was little to no risk involved in the process -- even after P explicitly stated he didn't want to proceed if there was any chance of damage to the frames or lenses.
After much reassurance, the gentleman proceeded to take the glasses into a back room and make the necessary adjustments. A few minutes later he comes out, hands the glasses to P, and hurriedly tells him it's free of charge and wishes him a nice day. The second we get out to the car, P notices a huge thumbprint-sized crackled mark right in the center of one of his lenses. It was completely ruined by the process the gentleman used.
P immediately went back inside and showed it to the gentleman, who feigned surprise and basically said, "Oh yeah, sorry about that. It's not our problem, I hope you have a warranty for those. Have a nice day."
I was shocked by how they treated him in this situation, and how the gentleman brushed it off and sent P on his way. This was a very expensive mistake they made, which they thoroughly assured us would not happen.
Luckily my boyfriend had the forethought to have actually purchased a warranty, but otherwise he would have been royally screwed by Lane Eye Associates. And from what others have told me about this place, and through my own past experiences with them, I'm not surprised in the slightest.
It's a shame there aren't many other options in the area, if any. Otherwise I'm sure Lane Eye Associates would have gone out of business long ago.
Just terrible and disappointing experience all around.
